I think their trying to address the concerns with controlling space with these units. Dark swarm and burrowed broodlord, shredder and giving the hellion another role, and Protoss already has forcefields and storms. Looks like we'll be able to hold chokes and base defenses better as a whole in HotS.

They said they were considering it. And they want all units to have clear roles that don't overlap too much with other units, so to achieve that they may have to remove some.

i guess i'm the only one who isn't a fan of these

they feel really uninspired and almost pointless, why so many overlapping roles? is it for sure that they're going to replace/remove some units?

the protoss units don't seem to address what people complain about protoss AT ALL. what am i going to do, make mass replicants and steal your ghosts and marauders? why give me another fucking anti-light amored air unit, i don't get it. the oracle description is vague as shit so hopefully that's okay

As a Protoss player, I was really hoping for something that would allow me to function more like a Terran, ie not dying if I ever split my army into more than just a deathball.

Not sure if these units will allow that....?

Fuck it, I'll switch to Zerg.

If thor is removed, then the minority who bought WoL CE will find their cool-looking thor worthless since it'll be single player only? I wonder how Blizzard will take care of that since they're essentially taking away something they sold as an incentive to buy.

Meh,I don't know but the more and more I look at these protoss units,it just doesn't feel like starcraft...I hope I'm wrong.

Glad dark swarm is back, but was hoping for a good positional/siege unit like the lurker, although perhaps the swarm host will be able to serve that purpose.

i feel sorry for artosis. with all this new flying protoss units he once again has to switch races
And the first Protoss units seems stupid ("Oh look, i just mass this unit and they will become what you already have, thats how my counter system works, eff yeah")


but as a terran im looking forward to the terran units. they seem simple, thats why i like them.

Honestly, ALL of these are going to be awful imo. -_-

I'm hoping most of these are only campaign units, otherwise... horrible things will happen.

All of the new units are too versatile and have complex special abilities and they've added way too many of them. Nobody can even begin to imagine all the possible abusive strategies people will come up with a month or two after release.

It's pretty much a reset of the game, and we're again going to have to go through a long period of balance whining, patching, and games decided by clever strategies and BO wins instead of skill as everyone now has to re-learn everything instead of improving. -_-

And the game was just getting stabilized with things starting to get figured out in detail. This is like a new game, one that I personally might not even play if it stays like this. If this is how they're going to do it, playing SC2 until a year after Legacy of the Void will make zero sense.

Although i admit i would prefer a Goliath like unit over a Thor

tempest? mutaling is dead is pvz yayayay.

I'm a little worried about the shredder in tvz. imagine a few of those spinning in front of siege tanks for marine/tank/shredder timings.
