I think Swarm Hosts will be basically more potent and more versatile creep tumor. It will force scans/ravens out of Terran and will result in plenty of headaches otherwise.

Perhaps more importantly it will provide constant action and I can see them being used ingeniously, especially on the pro-circuit. All in all it is the unit I'm most looking forward to seeing used competitively; should be exciting!

The new Protoss units I'm less excited about, especially the Tempest. It's still pre-beta though so I bet half of these units won't even make the final cut.

just got an idea how to maybe improve the replicant: make it a data hi-jacker that has to be planted on Terran/Zerg tech buildings. It allows to warp in enemy units that can be produced with the hijacked tech buildings for as long as the unit is planted on the tech building.
Would require to protect the data-jacker with a drop or draw attention elsewhere and at the same time warp in cool down has to be safed for maximum efficiency of the tech steal.

im unaware of anything smilar in C&C but in general i share your worry. I just thought "my" version would cause less problems and be more interesting and logical

If the swarm host is controlled like it is in the HOTS custom someone made, then I'm excited. They take a fairly large amount of management to be effective, you can't just place them in an area, burrow them and let them go at it. If you set them to auto fire, they will spawn their units, and it leaves them very vulnerable at off timings. You would have have to either delay each ones auto spawn timing, or manually do it when a unit attacks. Which doesn't sound like much, but its far more fiddly than for example, tanks, or even marine drops.

So no one has detail stats on terran units?
like what is the warhound supply cost.. resource cost.. etc

Does the battle hellion have an armor type when transformed?

try the hots custom game thread, they gathered alot of data there from the blizzcon. (not sure how the mod itself was rebalanced by the creator).

yeah and only do damage against light units (their building attack gets removed)

Hope the swarm host will make it through. Sieging the opponent with broodlings and the swarm host thingies to absorb damage, while the broodlings make damage. All that while your army sits 2 screens away in safety lol.

But way to bump a thread xD. Funny idea but doesn't fit into the game due to race differences. (as the replicant was something for toss against all races) But i would guess this unit is already scrapped anyway.
