I haven't seen much difference in helping spot this with different graphical setting. I'm not certain if you can spot burrowed units this way either. Scanning an observer to kill it is situational. It depends on what units you want to use (banshees for example, how much income you have (is the mule really that important to have at this moment?) and whether the opponent getting scouting information is pivotal (you don't want your opponent see you pushing out or taking a hidden expo).

U just use the scroll wheel on your mouse back and forth quickly to zoom in /out...when for instance you view your army (cuz its usually there).....

You'd think easiest visibility for cloaked units would be kind of a big deal.

and I can spot shit most of the time. You can also just assume things like if you're fighting a protoss chances are he has an obs right over your army so a random scan won't hurt

All cloaked/burrowed units except mothership are present in the pictures. They are all lined up and its very hard to tell, but there is a slight blur for the cloaked units. To start, the cloaked banshee is to the right of the stargate, and the observer right next to that. All other units fall right underneath those. You can't tell the difference with burrowed roach and infestor. Fullscreen the pictures or you won't be able to see anything. Low + Show Spoiler + ![]() Medium + Show Spoiler + ![]() High + Show Spoiler + ![]() Ultra + Show Spoiler + ![]() Custom (Low texture quality, High shader, Ultra lighting, Medium shadow, everything else low/off.) + Show Spoiler + ![]() Out of all the settings, I found my custom to be the easiest to spot the units. Something about lighting really has an effect on the visibility of cloaked units. I haven't tested this on any other map tileset, but its a start.

Edit: I saw the banshee! Only when I fullscreened the custom settings one and zoomed in even further...

Its actually really easy to spot once you know what your looking for.
