top 10 of prizemoney is korean, next thing we know they want to eat us aLive. they should have been happy from what they have. and think for foreigner player too. korean get special treatment in foreign tournaments but not enough they want everthing. NASL is still new, look like they want MLG shitty 15kprize pool + good stipend >NASL 100kprize money+enough stipend. weird, funny they talk about NASL stipend but cant talk about how MLG shitty prize money it is. maybe they cant touch MLG because of MLG+GOM partnership.

The collective is way more important than the individual. Thus if you go against one of them you will meet a wall of silence when you try to do business with others, supposed neutrals. This in mind, the Koreans may hold a grudge against NASL and EG and this fallout is just a continuation, a kind of pay back of what happened at the finals. Sure, NASL could not do anything against it, but since their name was involved, they have to suffer from it. I expect something directed against EG too. Maybe not now, but in moth or even years to come. East Asians have long memories when it comes to holding a grudge. I thought the same thing. I think this is more of a message to NASL/EG to prevent another Puma incident. It also doesn't help that NASL has a track record of being hostile, even towards their own customers - I mean even the tone in the OP is hostile ffs. Way to burn bridges NASL. Good job. Complete opposite of MLG and Dreamhack.

The tournament itself won't be any less fun for me to watch. There will still be great players and good presentation. This is what makes watching SC2 fun for me.

Anyways sad news and all, but doesn't seem to be anyone at fault on either side in this case.

They're supposed to look out for the interests of ALL the players, not just the superstars. Except its like the NFL Owners and the Players Union combined in one. And how is allowing a guy like MC go to NASL screwing over the unknown players? My point is that it should be up to the individual team and player, rather than a vote (maybe some teams disagree with the committee's ruling, but are the minority).

The bit about representing all of the players: players like MC might be able to afford it out of pocket, but I'm guessing overall they would prefer to try and get as many players to be able to participate as possible. A majority of the players represented by the committee aren't known superstars who can pay out of pocket for overseas tournaments.

This is really going to hurt their league and if what they wanted is full travel expenses and its actually cheaper than what they were offering.... Then why doesnt NASL just do it, they would save money from their last offer anyways. Something else is afoot here doesnt make much sense to me, i think it would be quite difficult for a korean team that doesnt speak english to arrange accomadations so im sure thats a factor as well, i think they just want to beable to land in america and not have any troubles or mix ups wich is understandable and other tournaments do that for them. Why the hell wouldnt NASL just pay their travel expenses if its supposedy cheaper as the NASL.TV post suggests? thats my question. Where is this idea that its cheaper for NASL to pay for travel than what their offer is coming from? Its simply not true.

did all primary korean teams withdraw? Did they withdraw because of an overruling korean committee? What was the korean overlord's penalty to teams that decided the UNBELIEVABLY generous offer of $2,000 was actually fair, and wanted to participate? This strikes me as just one more reason not to renew my GOM pass. Oh well, looks like they're making my decisions for me now, too! Not that I care. Been a loyal, paying fan since the beginning, but after one season of NASL game that were consistently higher quality than anything I've ever seen on GOM, even with the slightly duller bracket method, I'm a convert. Not to mention, I don't have to listen to moletrap anymore! On August 12 2011 17:36 dabom88 wrote: Boxer already stated that he wont be competing in Season 2. Boxer isn't the only member of slayers ![]() I get the feeling that boxer just needs a break. Guy gets so much shit, and yet performs so consistently amazing, while coaching a team and dating the most influential woman in starcraft.

That's the thing though, Koreans are even attending the grueling open brackets of MLG for only $5000 first prize, yet they are withdrawing from NASL's $40k first prize tournament. Something else is going on FOR SURE.
