I feel like I'll have to see what the actual production quality is before opting to purchase a ticket.
It's only 25 bucks and as much as I want eSports to take off, I feel like it's very easy to see productions fall apart, particularly after the most recent MLG Dallas performance.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, only the round of 16 will be a live event and I'm not as keen on paying for an online event at the moment. I dunno, I'll definitely be watching the first season on the regular stream and base my decision to purchase a ticket for future seasons on that.

Yeah, what's that about? NASL needs to get their shit together. It's so hard to figure out what's actually going on...

800 say yes that's already 20000 right very nice
assuming theyll get a lot more sales than that ofc

Just gonna use the free stream

Incontrol doesn't mess around. This will be worth it without a doubt.
|
ill surely buy a pass, but I need to know the time they will display the matches first :O!
|
Considering it's JTV, it's worth buying it. I think everyone should consdier buying it as well. $25 isn't much for a 3 months event, as well as promoting eSports in the West.

Just bought my pass, for someone like me who normally wants to watch VOD's after the fact it's an easy call. Normally if stuff like this falls apart it's the live stream that can't keep up but $25 is worth it to be able to see all the matches when I want in HD, if I'm not watching live hopefully the production values are high while any network hiccups don't affect the VOD watching, much like why the monthly tab for GSL is worth it to me.
Just hope I can watch it either on my iPad or PS3, I prefer to watch my SC2 away from my PC when possible. There is a kinda shitty iPhone app for Justin.TV but hopefully there is a proper iPad version soon. I'm pretty sure justin.tv doesn't work on the PS3 browser (unlike ustream, which means TSL is awesome watching in my living room lol) but I'll see when this launches!

BTW, you could also try Skyfire, it's an app that let you to watch Flash video (I think it's convert them in HTML5, not sure) on your iPod/iPad. Work really well with justin.tv (actually better than the jtv app itself). Only problem its that its not free (3$) and doesn't work with some website (doesn't work with gomtv).

I bought a season pass.
I did it because of the VOD's and because it'll help make western E-sports bigger ( each member will).

I just got a pass mainly for all the epic matches that will sure to happen, and i get the VOD's :D

Don't blindly put your money into something just because of a general promise like "it will help make western E-sports bigger". Not to be a downie here, but that's how politicians and swindlers make their money - by saying stuff like "this policy or program will benefit ALL americans....or, America needs this!".
Then they take the money, pocket your cash 9 cents to a dime, and spends the last penny shoring up the sham.
Not saying this NASL is a sham, but we need to be realistic and not invest money in something that has no history behind it. This NASL is the first NA tournament of its kind. Give it a season and see what happens, and if you decide mid-way through that it's definitely worth your money (and I'm sure many people will - me included), then spend the money.

Looked at the Engadget review on their site, sounds like just the ticket for me, thanks!

Well look at the full schedule, 25$ for all the matches is crazy....
|
I'm still not sure about this. If we buy the 25 dollar ticket, do we get access to the VOD's of all the games? or just the CASTS of the games?
If it's the vods, then I'm definitley buying it but if its just replays of the casts then i'm not so sure..
I wish NASL would make it a little easier to understand just what we're getting here..

GSL has the highest production, best players and best casters and yet it's cheaper. Why on earth would i pay that much money for a ticket when i have no proof the games arn't even going to be casted in a studio with booths and all the emotion, theatrics and general awesomeness. Infact from what i've read about the NASL its just going to be them hopping peoples games over the internet until the finals?
What a crock. Drop the price to $10, show us what it's going to be like and i'll contribute. Please correct me if i'm wrong, what is the casting situation like.

I wish NASL would make it a little easier to understand just what we're getting here.. It's going to be VODs. NASL VODs will work very similar to GSL VODs, with a season ticket paying for VODs of all the casted games during the season.
All the games will be casted, though no replays will be released. Only VODs, which have to be paid for.

Because the GSL is less than a month long and this is 3 months long. Do the math, 10 x 3 = 30. 30 > 25. Its worth it.

I probably don't have time to watch alot of it but I'll buy the passes anyway. $25 for sooo much content is practically free. i want to support that.
