That is why I think having ONE clear voice who always has the correct answer is the way to go.

You guys are getting way ahead of yourselves - nothing has happened yet. AlBundy was just suggesting that all American teams move to California and set up team houses. Calm down and think rationally.

It almost feels like you announced NASL prematurely without figuring the the kinks. Or that NASl has something to hide. Either way, I hope you guys disseminate the info quickly as possible. Already said that the sponsors remain secret because they themselves have requested it.

Will the members of NASL staff affiliated with a team recuse themself from the selection of the 50 invites? In the NCAA men's basketball selections, there is 1 representative from every conference on the selection committee, but it's probably not feasible for NASL to have a representative from every team on the "selection committee" - so is there another fair way to handle this?

Do you plan to have small prize-money for wins during divisional play? Question 2 What kind of incentive will you use to ensure that matches between players in the no-mans-land - unable/low chances to qualify for playoffs and save from relegation - are still of importance? Question 3 Do you have a timeframe for paying out prize-money? If you do, what is it?

The top 4 from the open qualifier will be seeded into the next season (think that's on the front page of the FAQ). NASL has not said yet if/how they will bring in additional people beyond that or how much changover there will be between seasons.

Look at what the NASL has given us! $400,000 tournament. Sensitivity to the community. World class players. Competent, responsible leadership. Gigantic sponsors and the possibility for mainstream exposure. It's literally EVERYTHING I thought Team Liquid ever wanted. We're never going to get anything better.

Don't worry... many more questions will be answered in the next few days - we haven't forgotten about this thread ![]() I feel like (hope not true) that you are avoiding a very important topic on the qualifications of NASL. I am concerned that the invite-only policy as well as the team policy restricts too many players from qualifying. I would like to know the reasoning behind these rules and the official viewpoint of the NASL when it comes to how these rules in your opinion will postively or negatively affect NASL's goal to have the top 50 players in the world play in this tournament. I do realize this is a very long and thought out question. But I haven't gotten any feedback from this very specific concern and I've seen this topic come up many times, yet I still can't seem to find an answer. (even a "we are working on a response for you" will do btw) I'm sorry if you've already answered this, but if you did could you tell me where I can find this information? Thanks for all the time/effort put into the NASL I have no doubt that the NASL will suceed and I hope to hear from you soon.

Was the short season duration at the request of investors or organizers? Would lengthier seasons (with perhaps a smaller prize pool) be more sustainable and provide better opportunity for polish?

It's literally as if these people, Russell and iNcontroL and whoever else is behind it, are holding out fucking "eSports Growth and Success in North America" on a silver goddamn platter in front of the entire Starcraft community and everyone is saying "well, hmm, do we REALLY want Starcraft to succeed and grow? I forgot." Look at what the NASL has given us! $400,000 tournament. Sensitivity to the community. World class players. Competent, responsible leadership. We're never going to get anything better. yes but what if I won 50million dollars (lotto max in canada lol) and decided to do what these guys are doing but with more money? And then I would personally decide who I think the top 50 players are and invite them? Of course we all want the league to suceed, but if the league in itself is corrupt it is bound to fail imo and won't help esports in NA grow. Please understand people have legitimate concerns about how the league is run before you assume everyone is out to get iNcontrol or anyone involved in the NASL.

Yeah i'm also wondering about these two. Question : Since you plan to have 5 divisions and broadcast 5 days per week, will each divisions matches be played on a specific day, lets say divison 1 matches only on mondays, or will it be mixed?

They have limited it to 5 players per team. So if #6 on a team is in the top 50, he will be left out. And if other top 50 players are not on a sponsored team with a website, they cannot be invited either.
