They had it in BW so its not like they don't know how to a chat channel works but form what i've seen on PTR these chat channels are unimpressive but at least we have them. Point is, when cars have cup holders in 1998, you expect the cars that you buy in 2010 to have cup holders as well. And when SC1 came out, the situation was no different than it is now (it was harder if anything) yet they did just fine.

Is it possible that Blizzard intended battlenet 2.0 to have chat, but the time limit they gave for the release was to tight to implement it ? Sure they could have delayed it even more, but for chat functions ? Just a theory tho.

Patch 2: · It is possible to "push" held position units via rapid Move commands. We are aware of an issue with Zealots and Zerglings where in they can be pushed out of the way even when commanded to hold position. We are working towards a solution and are sorry for the inconvenience, thank you for your patience.

Anything is possible but I seem to remember hearing about how this game was coming out "next year" for like 6 years... it's not like all of a sudden they decided SC2 was gonna come out and they just had to throw out what they had ready. I'll be as happy as anyone when chat channels come out but I'm just puzzled that it took this long and now they have to push it back ANOTHER week? Hopefully their pushing it back for a different reason than the chat channels. On a related note, why does Blizzard say anything about when these things will happen when they are ALWAYS wrong. This is their only flaw. If they would just keep us in the dark, I'd be happier...

It is not the cup holder IT SELF that is the point, it's the fact that it's a feature that we've gotten used to, and as such, you expect it to be there.

But then again, I'm not really that surprised since I work in the software development industry. To the users, the interface forms over 30% of the user's impression of the system whilst the developers usually feel that the interface consists of like 5% of it.
