I really hope Blizzard rush through some additional changes fast so that we can see July, Cool, Check etc...playing Zerg. For the good of the game. + Show Spoiler + Unfortunately for Blizzard this game is already taken far too serious for there to be imbalances. They can't afford to make tiny patches in the face of large imbalance, they need to get their act together fast and finish the process they started in beta. They did a good job of making TvT, PvP and ZvZ all really interesting. But after the roach nerf didn't follow up with the necessary Zerg changes.

Someone either needs to discover a new way to play zerg, or the race needs to be retooled.

Yes Terran have an advantage, how much of advantage and what changes to lessen it is where the issue lies. If you don't have patience you might as well drop SC2 and not come back for a couple of years because it's a loooong way out before things fully balance themselves.

I dunno - those bw pros making over 100k+ a year for playing a game probably think they can live off it.

I guess those that play professional sports for a living are idiots too, because those are just games. If people enjoy watching it, there's money to be made. We've seen that people do enjoy watching SC2, for the most part. So it's not a ridiculous idea to base your income off of it if you can.

Especially when we are talking about Cool or July, one of the top favorites to win GSL. I agree that they should switch, it surprises me that we haven't had a really high profile zerg player switch yet (though the game is still only like 2 months old).

Of course, with the zealot nerf also.. Terran has another leg up in TvP too.. Its like blizzard WANTS terran to dominate everything 100% with patch changes like that.

But I love that SC II is in its early phases where players will actually post their feelings on the major community sites, instead of having their images groomed and controlled by their corporate handlers like once BW got big -_-

Reading such a comment on TL.net of all places makes me head hurt lol. Anyways sad to see they might switch, but also good for them if it means they win more. It doesn't matter what race he plays, Cool/Fruitseller will still be a badass worth watching.

Some one crush your dream to be pro gamer? ^^ Well haters gonna hate. Julyzerg playing Terran? NOO!!! I hope blizzard start recruit "progamers" to make this game balance.

The game does not have a competitive integrity. The imbalance for T is far, far beyond a simple unit or build time. The entire race, and pretty much everything about it's mechanics and play style is unfair. When you start a game vs. T, you're already behind and it's a constant battle to get ahead. Even if you take out a base, even if you survive harassment, even if you counter his army perfectly, you're still behind. Only when you completely decimate your opponent or he slips drastically do you have any chance whatsoever of winning.

![]() The patch blizzard just released isn't bad per se, but should of come out over a month ago when they announced it.

Something is wrong with T and Z.... but it's hard to tell exactly what. That's why Blizzard is so conservative with their patches.

Broodwar was also super imbalanced in the beginning, every single game is. You cant just expect a 2 month old game to be perfectly balanced. But blizzard is moving in the right direction. Slowly maybe, but still. Or do people honestly think that zerg is not going to change in the next 10 years? or even ½ a year? Just stop complaining, play whichever race you want and enjoy the game, the game will be balanced eventually. Maybe in a few months Zerg will dominate. Every single online game i've ever played in my entire life has been unbalanced for the first few months until they sorted it out. Name a game that hasnt been unbalanced for the first few months.
