Someone either needs to discover a new way to play zerg, or the race needs to be retooled. that is exactly the problem, its not that the zerg units are weaker or less versatile necessarily, the way I (being a low diamond noob random player) see it, the amount of effort it takes to play zerg well is just absurd: for terran? it requires essentially no extra APM besides production and combat(please dont tell me mule calldowns), protoss? a little extra work with chonoboost but nothing i can't deal with. and then I get zerg, I have to be constantly aware of larva injection, creep spreading, overlord spreading, overlord crapping over the map, more bases and hence more marco to deal with, the amount of work you need to put in it's just ridiculous. | ||

The dev team of Activision-(Blizzard) are not the same anymore, they consist of War3 devs and some lead designers hailing from C&C. From the beginning it was obvious that Zerg was flawed, and they should have reacted then, now it is too late. A side note though, is that funnily enough the only matches worth watching are the ones with Zerg in it. TvP is just too bland that I have stopped watching them, so perhaps, perhaps, could it be that the only Starcraft-esque race actually is Zerg and that the other 2 races are flawed? Protoss is too simple to play even for casuals, while Terran design took all the wrong turns with reapers, marauders and hellions. These 3 units somehow feel incredibly wrong for a sequal to the THE Game. Perhaps, since PvT is unwatchable, that Zerg are the only true race in the sequel to SC1? | ||

There is no way cool would complain specifically about drops if he could use infestors very well and got them soon enough. | ||

No online game has ever been balanced from the beginning, but between beta and two months post-release, they could have done a lot more by now. The evidence is right there in their faces, from the disturbingly low quantity of Zerg players to tournament results to every third thread on TL. They're not being proactive enough. | ||

People also need to relax, this same thing happened in Wc3. Top players will always be top players, there's no reason to freak out with every patch. All it takes is one Zerg that can switch things around for the race, not to mention the 'top players' are going to change a lot in the following year. | ||

for those of you who dont: with the addon wrath of the lichking they introduced a new class, the death knight. It was so unbelievably overpowered that it could 3-4 shot any other class in pvp, was nearly unkillable and had huge control over the match. It took them 6 month to fix them even if they always said that "they are aware of the issue". I dont expect them to tune zerg up in the near future. | ||

Cool = Saving private ryan in TvZ TLO = Forrest Gump in ZvT Both great, but only one of them stays in your mind a long time after you watch it. and TLO plays random, you never know what he's gonna get. | ||
