How do you propose you stop drops with infestors in an economic fashion? Fungal is 75 energy, 36 dmg. Dropships have 150hp. You would need to spawn at least a couple infested terrans in range of a fungaled dropship inorder to kill it. Not exactly reliable... you would be better hunting dropships with mutas.
Unless NP was made infinite again....

tbh though people ARE doing it. tons of people are changing from Z but just arent announcing it like these top top names. if you look at the top 200 list from any of blizzard's regions, i bet you can find at least 15 people who have once mained z and are now something else.

Very sad to see Cool switch =(
I am biased and love the swarm, (play only random though) but it really does feel as though there is an imbalance. It is frustrating to hear the constant "let it evolve" when there is so much evidence pointing to the problem.
On a side note, it has seemed in recent past, that when Blizzard focuses on making something awesome (expansion pack in wc3, Death Knight in WoW, new abilities in WoW, and now a SC2 game dedicated to Terran) they focus heavily on that aspect, and then say "lets throw in some stuff for others as well". So the new feature is op and awesome, then it slowly gets brought back to a level playing field (or for the WoW people, the DKs get nerfed so bad they are by far the least represented in all competitive play, which is what no one wants for the Terrans)

Saw this coming a mile away, blizzard does the same thing in WoW, and yes they claim they care about wow e-sports, but we can all see that clearly isn't true.
Hosting a couple money tourneys doesn't mean they care, it is chump change to blizzard.
What I predict: This game never being well balanced, blizzard mixing things up here and there to keep the game fresh, and people trying to play a game professionally that is not intended to ever reach a good state of balance.
If you enjoy watching a player master a game that is balanced, sc2 won't be that great.
If you enjoy FOTM dynamics with the meta game taking major shifts from patch to patch and seeing new random faces win each tourney, then I think the future of sc2 will cater to you.

Hasn't Cool already stated he has already been able to beat top level Zergs when he offraces with Terran?

Don't believe you can NP dropships with units inside.

So wait, even with Tanks nerfed, Zergs still finding a way to QQ? I'm confused. I thought nerfing tanks was going to fix everything. Clearly I was mistaken.

stop talking to PrinceXizor, the kid is either a noob or a troll but he isn't worth talking to.

This clearly isn't true; there are already top players that continually dominate and will continue to do so whether or not their race stays overpowered.

POOR COOL. i'd have to say the poor frustrated man got an interesting point. Zergs were nerfed initially cause blizz thought them too be too dominate in KR servers. Maybe they went too far>?

same goes for TLO when he offraces vs Terran though.

its ok tho with the insane apm requirement to play zerg at top level u can now do cool tricks with on the other races (no pun inteneded)

It is when you're trying to grow a game in its initial release phase. Taking 6 months to fix this situation will do nothing but drive people away from the game, which will only hurt it in the long run.

I know that Blizzard said in a interview that W3 is so hard to balance because of heroes and item combination making it impossible and they were really proud of how easy SC BW was to balance due to a lack of heroes.
I guess this just proves that it not so easy, and their lack of communication with fans to acknowledge a imbalance is really making them look bad.

For diamond as a whole, terran isn't that strong from the numbers. Like, Cool is complaining about Terrans who can control three dropships threatening drops constantly while simultaneously expanding across the map. That isn't going to be an issue for most people.
Not even diamond. The last time I played a ZvZ was one of my placement matches and it was against a random player. The last time I saw "Zerg" on my opponent's race was my 2nd practice league game. Now I'm silver and I played only 1 game and it was not ZvZ again.

Broodwar was also super imbalanced in the beginning, every single game is. You cant just expect a 2 month old game to be perfectly balanced. But blizzard is moving in the right direction. Slowly maybe, but still.
Or do people honestly think that zerg is not going to change in the next 10 years? or even ½ a year?
Just stop complaining, play whichever race you want and enjoy the game, the game will be balanced eventually. Maybe in a few months Zerg will dominate. The players complaining in the OP are trying to make a living purely off the game and it is unquestionably Blizzard's fault that they can't do so with the race they initially chose. If you're going to thrust your game into $85k tournaments right off the bat, it had better at least approach balanced, but I think we all know Blizz failed at that pretty hard. Now we can only hope they shift into a higher gear for the next patch. Do you think blizzard cares if some Koreans cant make money off of their game? No, and neither do I. People expect blizzard to balance out a massive online game within a few months, when new strategies are showing up every day. It's a really hard thing to do, and it takes time. But seriously, name a game that was balanced right from the beginning. Any online game. No online game has ever been balanced from the beginning, but between beta and two months post-release, they could have done a lot more by now. The evidence is right there in their faces, from the disturbingly low quantity of Zerg players to tournament results to every third thread on TL. They're not being proactive enough.
In the beginning Zerg was too good, so they nerfed roaches. They also did a ton of other changes, cba to post them all
It's not like ever since beginning of the beta zerg has been bad, Terrans were really bad at some point in the beta aswell. You cant deny that Blizzard is getting closer to balancing the game.
They are taking small steps now, exactly how you would balance anything. I can promise right now that in lets say ½ a years time, the game will be very balanced, and zerg wont be the worst race anymore. But blizzard has to react to every build that is out there. And new builds are being discovered every day, so yea

That is 6 GSLs.
That is long enough to make or break this game in esports with that much money on the line.

In fairness, I think they're being as proactive as they can. Higher-ups aren't going to respond well to work on patches that go out for free when they could be working on HotS, which will rake in more money.
