I wonder how the rounding will work with this ability, and whether upgrades will factor in (see math below) hydra does 12 damage, 25% = 3.0 +1 = 13 damage, 25% = 3.25 (probably rounded down here to give 3 bonus damage still) +2 = 14 damage, 25% = 3.5 (I hope this rounds up to +4 damage) +3 = 15 damage, 25% = 3.75 (this better round up...) Or in the case of roaches: 16 = 4 18 = 4.5 20 = 5 22 = 5.5 28 damage roaches would be quite sexy if it does indeed round up... The primary use of it though will be ultralisks, who at 0/0 upgrades go from 40 damage to 50 damage. With upgrades, this could get the ultralisk up to 60+ damage vs armoured targets (just remember to FG the enemy so the ultralisk can get into range to use this...) Will banelings get their bonus damage to buildings increased, since it is not an 'attack' instead being an ability of it's own, that happens to be increased by upgrades. If it does benefit, at 3/3 it goes from 95 damage up to 118.75 Where this may get really interesting is when you use the corruptors +20% damage taken in conjunction with frenzy, in the likely most common use of this, corruptor vs colossus: unupged for simplicity corruptor = 20 damage +25% = 25 25 + 20% = 30 colossus = 350 hp 1 armour 350 / 29 = 12.06 so it takes 13 frenzied corruptors to 1 shot a colossus, not a likely situation though, so 5 corruptors 3-shot a colossus this is with no upgs though, so lets look at the 3 upg extremes 3 attack on corruptors, no armour on colossus 26 damage +25% = 32.5 32.5 +20% = 39 350/38 = 9.21 10 to 1-shot, or our 5 will 2-shot a colossus 3 attack on corruptors 3/3 armour/shields on colossus 350/35 = 10 exactly, so no change from previous math 0 attack on corruptors 3/3 armour/shields on colossus 350 / 26 = 13.46 so our theoretical 5 still 3-shot it realistic scenario: 1 attack corruptors vs 2/0 armour/shield colossus 22 +25% = 27.5 27.5 +20% = 33 150 / 32 = 4 with 10 damage left 200 - 7 = 193 193 / 30 = 6.4 6.4 + 4 = 10.4 our 5 will take 3 shots to kill it, though 6 will 2 shot it easily, even with the last one not frenzied conclusion, if you are colossus hunting with corruptors, don't make too many more then 6, and frenzy 5 of them, and you should be set for some quick killing.

However, the ability Frenzy does make them interesting. QFT, Summary of patch 13, and i love the word obliteraped. Carry on. Also, quote from a Blue post: "With the release of patch 13 no sound effects will be present while navigating within the StarCraft II Battle.net interface. This is a temporary and known effect while we prepare our audio assets for the retail launch. This is expected to be resolved with the start of the second phase of the Beta. Please forego any reports on this as we’re aware it’s an issue. We apologize for the silence." And Blue's signature: in patch 13 no one can hear you scream Made me lol, cause when I visualize Blizzard balancing things, I imagine they get owned by something retarded, and instead of fixing their gameplay, they just nerf the unit entirely. Similarly, when beta testers tell Blizzard their changes are bad, instead of just putting in earplugs, they remove the sound entirely. GG :

the only thing that boggles me the most in this patch is the terran bio upgrade buffs...

And it is also not good to attack with any other zerg units. With hydra and roach it dies too quickly and with zergling and baneling it never reaches the enemy units before died.

Right, because 90% Terran games aren't won with infantry already. Fucking monkies run Blizzard.

No thank you. They one-hit kill upgraded marines at +3 melee. Of course it's a pain to use it without wireframe targeting...

Stop saying they wont work just by looking at the ultra itself. Starcraft is not a 1v1 game, it is based on interactions between units the whole way through.

I think this can only happen when you already won the game. And, why not send 2 banelings instead of 1 and 1 infester? its much easier and does more damage.

Frenzied banelings one-hit kill Probes, and SCVs with +1 melee. Yes, and my headache is still here. So you go on a click blitz on a bunch of Banelings and then load them up into hella fast Overlords or a Nydas canal and hope the enemy doesn't notice? You're right on the stats, but that doesn't mean it's viable unfortunately.

A full tech switch would be required to build up enough armor pen to take down a full ultra, and the new frenzy spell lets ultras get in past marauder fire. Stop saying they wont work just by looking at the ultra itself. Starcraft is not a 1v1 game, it is based on interactions between units the whole way through. I don't see how the frenzy spell will help at all when ultras start with 3/4 of its previous hp. The ultra is worse than before because it has less hp since dps was never its problem.
