To be honest, I can't really see how this will help ZvT. It's gonna be really interesting to see if anyone will be able to get close enough to do any damage with the Ultra, but in my mind, the Ultra will be even more useless because of this patch. Ultras really need some sort of charge ability and pathing fix to work. I propose a charge ability that isn't auto-casted, and has a long cool-down. Something like that would probably require further balancing, but together with a fix for pathing, at least the Ultra will get where it's supposed to be going without dying halfway there. That's not asking much. After we get to that point, we can talk about damage. Also, the Infested Terran has become a complete joke by now. To be honest, I thought it was a bad idea to have it spawn from other units to begin with (it makes no sense, to be honest, the Infestor carries a stockpile of marines inside of him?), but now, it's just getting silly. I don't think it's a bad idea to have Overseers have something that costs 125 energy, but make it something that will see use. | ||

Ultralisk is still worthless. Corrupter spell still blows BUFFS ON TERRAN INFANTRY? GIVE ME A MOTHERFUCKING BREAK, SERIOUSLY. To those of you who think infested terrans were worthless, well, they weren't. They will be. They only cost 25 mana I believe, and if you have a few infestors (4-5) you can fungal growth and throw out like 15 infested terrans. No cooldown time. DONT NEED VISION. You can throw these on top of cliffs. They suck as a single unit, but then again, so do marines. But when you've got 20 of them, they're pretty damn boss. Now they will be worthless. So the reason they took them off the infestor and made them cost 5x more mana is because nobody was using them? So, now, nobody will use them. Good call blizz, this does NOT encourage creative gameplay AT ALL. I've done a few infested terran ownages, and its precisely because nobody uses them, because they're a fucking SURPRISE that they worked so well. What the fuck. Seriously, no more drinking vials of acid before making patches. NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT FACEBOOK INTEGRATION, JUST GIVE US CHAT ROOMS. Honestly, do they even use facebook in Korea all that much? Or any country outside USA/Canada??? Why is this even a priority? God, Blizzard, sometimes I think you want this game to be run by Terran, as shittily as possible.. /rage | ||

"Immune to snare, stuns, and mind control for 30 seconds" If taken out of context, I would assume this was a WoW spell...but how does this really help the ultra? Sure, more dmg output, but was the ultra was never capable of being snared (correct me if I'm wrong) and I was not aware that there were stuns in the game..... mind control?? really? How many zvz games go that late game? maybe copper/bronze. I do like that the forcefield can be destroyed from walking over them with massive, but I think that is pretty much only useful for terran and maybe protoss because our only ground massive unit comes way too late. I still don't think I'll tech to ultras unless its 2v2 3v3 or 4v4. | ||

<3. I'm good now. I have just watched as the patches went from "OMG THIS IS AWESOME!" until about.......patch....7? 8? Since then, every single patch has had way more terrible changes than good ones. I just hate to watch Blizzard kill the fun of the game and steer the game toward these standard strategies...they're really taking out variety... Seriously, has anybody EVER seen blizzard ask on the forums "we think the ultralisk sucks too. What do YOU as the players who will actually PLAY the game (Derp) think would improve it?" Cause I haven't...They just watch the Korean gameplay and drink a magic potion and suddenly shit out the answer. And that's what their responses via patching have been lately...shit. | ||

Haha yeah I feel you. We'll see. I feel like a lot of the stuff that get's patched is done so with the long term in mind rather than with respect to the very most current playstyles. I think it's gonna work out pretty well by the end. The one thing I can't shake is the feeling that Zerg just lacks one or two really dynamic units. Maybe it's just in my head. | ||

The problem I have with Frenzy is that it's an individual click-cast. This makes it pointless for large groups of Hydras, Lings, Roaches, Mutas, etc. It seems like it was made almost exclusively for Ultras and Corruptors, even though the latter won't benefit as much as Ultras. So, me no likely because of its limited utility. I say up its energy cost and make it a small AOE so that you CAN spam it, but you need several Infestors to really hit the whole group. Maybe reduce it's duration so taht the Infestors need to be at the front line with the rest of the troops. Infested Terran for 125 energy? No thank you. There was very little point to using the ability when you could spam it from Infestors. For so much energy, I'd prefer to just use the Overseer to stop production. Not a REAL fan of the Zerg changes although Terran got an easy GIMME with their buff. | ||
