I'm puzzled about that slight infantry buff, I do welcome it, but terran timing push can be very effective now, that's stimpack of course. Rine shields aren't that big of a deal early on.

I am amazed at how many people consistently make this mistake. Marauders cannot slow Ultralisks because Concussive shells cannot affect massive units. Frenzy changes nothing in ZvT; the Ultra will still die immediately when attempting to attack mass marauder and it is therefore still a worthless unit.

No. The marauders are indeed designed to counter roaches, but without any roaches, they are still freaking good against everything from zerg, and also they are the only unit beside hellion that can stop banelings and zerglings. I don't make any roaches in zvt since they are nerfed, and all my opponents (all 2000+ plat terran) are still going mass marauders against me.

I hope the frenzy is restricted to biological. At 25 energy a pop, you could frenzy an entire army of collosus or void rays. And I hope they put some effort into the effect rather than some red aura or a stupid icon like with stim.

It's unlikely that they put a lot of effort into it. If it makes it into the release version then yes, but for the beta it is safe to assume that it will be a quick and dirty solution.

I don't agree on the "less" Marauder thing. You're assuming people will alter course or build according to what they see. Lots of games I see and play end with people NOT doing that. Thus, Ultras versus Mauraders would be still very much a case scenario and one with the Ultras probably losing.

I'm just so glad that some of the top players are not doing the balancing in this game... I can't belive that even though you are a top player that you think that you're a design and balance proffessional.

I'm NOT saying that Blizzard shouldnt use competetive players feedback, but saying that they DONT to begin with is fucking stupid.

I'm gonna laugh when people develop lategame ZvT gameplay revolved around upgraded ultras and infestors.

Since the start of beta people have been saying ultralisks die too fast to be useful. Recently Blizzard has stated they want to make ultralisks useful. So Blizzard's solution is to reduce the ultralisk's hp by 150 so that it dies quicker, BUT the good news is that it deals more damage now. Seriously that doesn't make any sense to me.

It will take blizz more then just beta and patches to get Sc2 balanced. Time is what it will take. Time is what it took to get bw to the level that it is. Blizz will make some changes that will upset everyone to just a select few. Just give them time and they will get it right. Come on they have the best rts game that is out and look how long that it took to get right.
Some need not to forget that this is still a game

People have also stated that it is questionable how Zerg has no units that deal extra damage versus armored units. The developer guys wanted to change this thus they used the one unit that would least affect the current balance: ultralisk.

In their test runs however they noticed that now ultralisk made unit XXX useless or situation YYY was super faggay. To fix this they decided the health had to be changed.

The developers are not retarded. The people whining about the patch before even having the chance to enter one game with it however are.
