there seems to be a rule that says ultras aren't allowed to have more HP than an equal supply-amount of roaches....
well, maybe the anti-FF character is worth the huge extra costs, both mins and gas...? i can't see it atm...
rock is fine.. paper could need a buff, but scissors have to be nerfed

Stop whining. Game was balanced and still is and proof of that is the platinum stats. Both usage and winning% is evenly distributed. The only thing missing from the game was more variety on unit usage at top level and they seem to fix that with every patch.

Wait... so Overlords (edit: overseers) can harass mineral lines with infested terrans now? Every single overseer on the map is capable of harassing your mineral line?

Wtf? Someone tell me I'm reading this wrong.

It's overSEER, not overlord. So you have to spend 100 gas before your overlord can harass.

Overseer, not overlord. The unit cost 100 of gas.

Eh, dunno about the stimpack/combat shield buffs, I was mainly transitioning out of unupgraded rines to pure mech (+ghosts) in most matchups now anyway. (although silver league so I may have no clue what I'm talking about, heh)

2 days ago I watched DeMusliM vs some good protoss in Kaspersky Cup I think. (can't remember)
Protoss had this really amazing composed push with a lot immortals and stuff. Everybody would say demuslim were to lose against that kind of army with his infantry army.

but demuslim just get 6-7 scv's in front. and just used stim pack. Half of his army was alive. protoss army got demolished.

So, blizzard thinks to make infantry army more dangerous?

No, read Blizzard's explanation - they think that there are timings when T is forced to be passive and await upgrades. However i don't see anything bad in game being timing based, just look at SC1... However I, as person that plays random don't mind this change, PvT was already not that demanding so such slight changes won't swing balance in favor of T immediatelly

34 pages of raging and the patch isnt out yet, I guess it is as every other patch. After the patch is out maybe beta testers start testing again and stop whining

I'm amazed over people's reaction to the M&M-buff... I mean, come on... A total cost decrease of 100/100? Won't make any difference tbh.

And the whine about "wow-changes" is just... Whine? I'm looking forward to play this patch.

I actually knew they were overseers and typed that wrong, sorry about that.

Still though, Zerg is already extremely powerful, this seems like a HUGE buff that people are really overlooking. An aerial harassment unit for 100 resources that doesn't require a pre-requisite structure (other than base upgrades).

I think this is way more significant than people are giving it credit for.

Workers can easily kill an infested terran before it can do shit( due to hatch time and the fact its dps is the same as a single un-upgraded ling), 1 infested terran is good for almost nothing and thats all you can make since its 125 energy.

No. He's saying that a lot of people bitching probably aren't very good. If the best players who have the ability to execute pretty much any counter strategy or micro can't beat something regardless of what they do, it is imbalanced. If someone bad says something is imbalanced then it's a lot more likely that it's because they do not have enough skill to execute a counter strategy, rather than it being impossible to beat.

Force Field change sounds ok.

Void Ray change sounds stupid. They would need a range upgrade to be useful at all now imo.

Were the Stim Pack and Combat Shield changes needed? Especially Stim Pack seems very cheap now.

So they now added a spell that only is useful to cast on Ultralisks. Well, maybe in zvz on Broodlords. Meh. Make it more expensive and with a small AoE so that it works in more than 1 situation.
I don't see why Infestors can still move while burrowed, it doesn't really fit anymore.

Overseer is the solution to zerg supply problems now: Once you hit 200/200, spam Overseers and mass Infested Terrans. Protoss could be in trouble if a Zerg manages to shut down all production after a big lategame fight.

Ultralisk change is ok, less overlap with Banelings. At 450 HP they fall even faster to Marauders, though. They still need 100 upgrades to be of any use at all.


Overall I'm quite disappointed with this patch.
