I mean that Ronaldo goal is special regardless. A team that punishes every single mistake is a really impressive team.

Even Juve fans had to applaud his 2nd goal and Ronaldo responded with his appreciation. Noice

In a way, yes. But I want to see them win vs a big team that doesn't choke this season, and I'll be more convinced. They looked more impressive last season, in my opinion.

First win for Madrid in Turin since 1962. It's fair to say that Ronaldo is Buffon's archnemesis.
Lol, Sevilla scored 3 goals and lost 1-2

I've always been confused about what Manchester was thinking back in the day.

To be honest, I was equally confused with Ronaldo back then. Madrid were a team that hadn't really had any success since 2002 internationally and were consistently getting knocked out in the Knockout stages by teams they should beat. Hell in his debut season Madrid lost to Lyon in the Round of 16. Even though United only made it one round further that year due to a wonder goal from Robben, I felt that had Ronaldo stayed he could've carried United to another CL title because Bayern were definitely on the back foot until they started their comeback. Hell the next season United even reached the finals again where they again lacked that extra bit of special a player like Ronaldo could bring.
Anyway 3 CL titles later and that was the end of those thoughts haha.

I really hate Real Madrid. They loose against Betis, Espanyol, Girona, etc. and defend so bad most of the season with Ronaldo scoring 1 goal in 2 months. And then second half of the league Real Madrid and Ronaldo go beast mode and they will win CL. This is so Real Madrid...
Sevilla tried. 1-2 is not bad against Bayern. Bayern usually high score teams like Sevilla.

1. Ronaldo had always wanted to play for Real since he was a kid 2. Better weather/culture in Spain for him and his family 3. 80 million pounds for United 4. The Messi and Ronaldo phenomenon was never expected by anyone. Never has there been any players in the history who could have such a significant domination in the game for such a long period of time.
I'm sure United might have regretted it now, but things were very different in 2009.

I suppose, but it never really makes sense for a team that is trying to win to give up talent. That's a move you make if you are Leeds or some other team that can use that kind of money to build a whole team that can survive relegation.

Sure it does, and your point would be valid if United had stopped succeeding after the move. They literally won the league and marched straight back to the finals the next year
Uniteds drop didnt start after they lost Ronaldo, it dropped after Fergie. Fergie let talent go all the time even when some were at their peak. If players dont want to stay there is no point in keeping them.
Ronaldo wanted to go to Madrid, really badly. Fergie would never keep a player that wanted to leave if he was getting a good deal for him which at the time seemed really good

I guess. Ferguson was a better manager than most clubs had, or probably ever did, but I do think Man U is in an odd position the last few years where they simply don't seem to be bringing in talent that works.

That was in the WC2006 quarter final when Ronaldo (allegedly) encouraged the ref to send off Rooney. Pretty sure they buried the hatches afterward because they did win the CL together two years later.
A good gif to relive the goal last night

Absolutely amazing goal from Ronaldo

Well so far this RM and Bayern at least for me are not favorites for the championship, the Juve was a very poor team too, lets see what happens in the semis.
