I'm going to hell for laughing at this. I have the image of a new Jon Jones Reebok commercial playing back over and over in my head. Instead of Jon Jones running through the city, I see him running back to the wrecked rental SUV to grab his stack of cash and extra pair of Reebok PUMP shoes from the back seat. Then he presses the "pump" button on the shoes & takes off into the distance.
In all seriousness: Jon Jones needs some help before he ends up killing someone. Hopefully this felony he's getting hit with is a wake up call for him. Screw the belt, this guy is about to ruin other peoples lives including his fiancée and 3 daughters. Be a role model Jones... AT LEAST for your kids. FFS!
GSP may have been a damn boring champion at times, but one thing I liked about him was that he was a great role model for the UFC brand.

Not sure when it was posted in relation to Cormier saying this, but DC said something along the lines of, "Rumble is the dude who gave up(was subed by?) vs Kos and Vitor."
no curse. injuries happen to precisely tuned, high performance athletes in every sport. calling it "a curse" just creates an excuse for UFC upper management and their event planners.
back when there was no money in MMA more fighters just fought injured. with more money comes the ability for a top contender protecting his ranking to skip a fight with a borderline injury.
Yeah I know . I just can't help but think that since both the fights that I was so hyped for are now gone within a couple days. Just really sad. Wonder if they will be putting another fight on the card on short notice.
And I've heard how overtrained they are, thus leading to injury. I don't really know what they plan to do for that though. Can't really mandate a schedule for when someone can train or not.
Nurmagomedov out, UFC seeking replacement vs. Cowboy at UFC 187 ffs how many more times can a knee be rebuilt? was really looking forward to that fight

Not that I would know more than you do, but on what basis do you have that they still train like that? For all we know, that dude could've been there, "helping" AKA members train for a bit. Is there actually any affiliation between AKA and the dude other than that one video?
Googled stuff about AKA and the Joe Grasso dude, and I got this excerpt from a Sherdog forum post that reads:
Joe continues his elite training today with many World Ranked Professional Mixed Martial Artists, who are referred to him by legendary trainer of champions, Javier Mendez (owner of the world-renowned American Kick Boxing Academy). One of Joe's most notable clients is the likes of UFC Heavyweight Champion, Cain Velasquez, who credits Joe with the ability to fight larger opponents.
Again, for all we know, that could be there for the sake of promotion and hardly to indicate that they train together on a consistent basis.
Reading around it looks like the charges against Jones are very serious and could land him in jail for 2-3 years. I've only seen this on a yahoo article so I'm taking it with a pound of salt. Guess we will know more in the coming days if this is true. I don't expect a slap on the wrist this time given what's happened. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/legal-analyst-says-jon-jones-could-face-three-221901798--mma.html

This is the worst kind of injury possible.. to a pregnant woman who is still 4 months away from giving birth. if there is anything wrong with that baby Jones is fucked.
Had they not suspended him. Jones would've been fielding questions during fight week like
"Mr. Jones, should the baby be born with brain damage do you feel responsible" "Mr. Jones, how long was it before you returned to pick up the money in your rented car" and best of all. "Jon , u r very near your home... why are you driving in a car rented by your wife? u own 5+ cars of your own."
Also, the woman is receiving medical attention for her injuries. Jones paying her bills is an admission of guilt. So is Jones paying her bills or not? what level of health insurance does this woman have?
this is just a giant clusterfuck whose outcome is months and maybe even a full year away from resolution.
