Hmmm, yep, likely BS. Looks like Pau's going there. I'd say that locks Melo into NYC.
Can anyone convince me that Melo making ~$26 mill for the next five years is a good thing?
That's 40% of the cap gone in just Melo. Yikes. Same old Knicks.

Yeah I'm guessing the bulls found out Melos staying in New York. Don't know the terms of the deal yet but pau is a great pick up provided the terms of the deal are nice. The only way melo is happening is if we do give up taj and dump salary and both melo and pau agree to a significant pay cut which is unlikely

Has the Heat bandwagon relocated to Cleveland yet?

Utah matched the hornets offer for Hayward. Expected I guess but it's a shame would have loved to see him play in Charlotte.

Because a lot of people value loyalty to a team more than loyalty to a player.

Rumor is sign and trade for gasol- Chicago sends brewer admunsen mike James and dunleavy
I guess lakers are getting whatever they can. And better on the bulls in the east than with Dallas/San Antonio I guess.

Yup. Feel the same way. In my opinion the players are more important than in any other sport when it comes to being a fan. For me the players dictate if I follow a team or not.

Well you have to look at it from the perspective of the community. Nobody says you can't be a Lebron fan. I'm sure everyone here enjoys watching him play. But if you are one of those people that only seems to follow one player, especially the best player, it smacks a little of not actually being a basketball fan. You might have a very coarse idea of what impressive basketball looks like or, worse, you might just enjoy following the celebrity.
I, for one, don't understand why you would just attach yourself to whoever is the favorite at the moment.
Of course, many people start off with this preoccupation (*cough*Kobe fans) and go on to become fully functional basketball fans.

it's not really un-understandable. i think what you are trying to say is that it's just casual. in italics.

Ignore Jerubaal and his snobbish ways =P. Like who you like. If you enjoy watching basketball, keep on watching. That's all that matters. Specially if you are not even from a city with a team. Even then, following/rooting for players wherever they go is something I do (<3 z-bo, barnes, chandler, jackson for me)

You need to be very specific about who you are talking about.

There's nothing wrong with liking specific players, so long as you understand how team dynamics work too.
I'm more a player follower myself (not a lebron fan if you're wondering)

Rockets signed Ariza 32m/4y. I don't know what that means for Parsons, still could go either way.

They can still sign him and I think they will.
