I really don't know what they are expecting to do with Vick there, assuming they start him. Vick has only been successful when backed by a good run game that features backs who can catch out of the backfield, and a good deep threat to take the safety off of him/backs/lower receivers. Because of his strong arm and ability to draw short range lbs in coverage off their men, Vick's best passes were ones out of the flats or bombs that a fast guy can get under. That offense features none of that. Decker is a solid #2 who runs good routes, but needs someone who has timing and accuracy to get it there--not Vick's strong points.

He may be fine with Xs and Os, particularly with respect to defense, and he may have a likable, fun personality for his players; but all the publicity stuff he does creates distractions and detracts from the team's focus. Imo. Also I think he had a big part in bringing Holmes to the team, who had one of those awful contracts you described. You think Rex brought in Tebow? Only to have him ride the pine and then answer questions constantly about why he isnt playing.... If anything that move was done against the wishes of Rex as he appeared for all intents and purposes to want nothing to do with Tebow at all.

Did some reading and it seems like the Jets' owner is the real problem with the team.

I think that was the one who passed away a few years ago, so it's kind of in flux. Jim Kelly was looking to spearhead a group that was planning on making a bid once they were up for sale, but I think that fell apart. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10671922/ralph-wilson-buffalo-bills-owner-dies-95 look for the Wilson family to use the owners of the Leafs/Raptors/TFC as leverage to get a better offer which will justify a move out of western NY. they'll get an offer of more than 1 billion from MLSE's largest single stakeholder : Larry Tannenbaum. MLSE, Tannenbaum and Tim Lewieke have basically been positioning themselves and waiting Wilson's death since the day Tim Lewieke was hired. Get set for a multi-billion dollar game of chicken boys! if these fuckers think they are touching $0.01 of my fucking tax money to stick an NFL team that no one wants in Toronto... they are dreaming. i might actually even vote if i have to!
