Lechia Gdansk - FC Barcelona 1-0!
But it's only 15th minute of the game...
And yes, Barca fielded a strong team.
EDIT: 1-1 already, but the fact Polish side scored is already something... EDIT 2: WTF am I watching, Lechia again in front. Messi can't break through alone, no Xavi-Iniesta and the team cannot really attack. On the other hand, both assist and finish in 2-1 action were quite outstanding. EDIT 3: Ended up 2-2 with Messi equalizing. But it was funny - Blaugrana has no depth behind Valdes-Alves-Pique-Xavi-Iniesta backbone, remove them and the guys go toe-to-toe with avergage Polish team.

85million bid for Bale...Anything over 40million is stupid for such an overrated and over-hyped player and I thought Neymar was over-hyped.

Guardiola denied any interest in signing David Luiz, so that rumour can be laid to rest. All those alleged offers were absurd really.

Well it was a strong team... Compared to the rest of the teams.
The defenders were Montoya, Sergi Gómez (who is this guy), Bartra and Adriano. Compared to Alves, Piqué, Puyol/Masche, Jordi Alba. Not really close. Also the midline was Dos Santos, Song and Sergi Roberto (this kid is actually really good). Not the usual Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets, either.
But still, the polish team played really solid and IMO deserved to win. So many good scoring chances missed.

Those youngsters are supposed to at least show Messi-like flair but I couldn't really see any. Plus their play seems really chaotic when that many of them are fielded together. I guess this explains why Guardiola used them only as backup.
And yeah, Lechia had weirdly good game. Great tactical setup when Barcelona had the ball - 4 defenders on penalty box line and 5 midfielders placed tightly about 7-8 meters in front of defense - almost like Chelsea. If only their left-back could stop Montoya, FCB would have no entry points whatsoever.

Yes it does but it's true and I don't think Bale will get such an offer salary wise either any time soon. It also gives Bale better marketability playing for Real Madrid.

or he can be known as that guy who is so good that they don't even sell him for €85 million.
I honestly don't think bale cares about his marketability in this case. but he would love to play for real madrid as it is arguably the greatest football club through football history, and tottenham is by contrast pretty low on that list. as for tottenham, I don't really know whether to respect them more for refusing to sell just cause it's awesome not to let money rule, or whether to think they're dumb for not accepting that money rules, or maybe both. or it's just posturing and soon he'll be sold for 90.

Madrid could pay €200m and it wouldn't matter...top players won't go to Tottenham because they want to play in the CL. Losing Bale invalidates all the progress the club have made over the last few years. Levy's obligation is to Spurs, not Gareth Bale.
This isn't a case like Juve losing Zidane and using the money on Buffon, Thuram, and Nedved. The best Spurs could hope for would be Erik Lamela and a bunch of young talent, with the rest of the money going into the stadium fund.

If that Bale transfer goes through it's going to be the start of a transfer warfare for many clubs.

If they can keep him for one more year, and they make Champions League, it's a win-win for Tottenham, since it's highly likely Real Madrid will want him for that much or close to it again next year, and they can do a lot more with the money then. It's a gambit that seems tempting.

what if.. they don't make CL even with Bale

I really don't know what people see in Bale...He is not even in the top 10 players in Europe, never mind the top 3...Plus Ronaldo plays the same position as him.

I'm guessing you didn't actually watch him play last season? His enormous goalscoring abilities came out when he was moved away from the left, both on the right and behind the striker. He also plays on the right for Wales. If he does go to Madrid, he'll replace Di Maria on the right with Özil in the middle (assuming they stick to a 4-2-3-1). It's strange that you enjoy running him down when you know nothing about him.

It's not true. Real wanted Bale last year, and they're going to try and sign him in every transfer window, unless he gets hurt or suddenly sucks. It's not a "once in a lifetime chance."
And his marketability is debatable. The Prem is bigger thsn La Liga, in Europe and abroad. Look at that giant ad featuring Bale in Times Square for proof.
Lastly, I think it'd be better to stay because he can make himself a legend at Spurs. He can do whatever the hell he wants; that's his team. Real is Ronaldo's tean. Bale is just another piece of the puzzle there.
