I'm really not sure how anyone could say how herO was playing is boring. Would we rather go back to the days where Protoss could basically only hide in their base in fear of drops until it was time to move out with a maxed army? An aggressive option like Blink makes games way more interesting, imo. I also think that with the last round of patches, it's settling into a more proper "aggressive" option rather than just an auto win opening. I still think Terran players maybe have not explored widow mine openings enough, either, but we'll see.
I think the problem is more with the maps now. Some of the maps still have too big of an area to blink and widow mines cannot cover them all.
Too bad the mapmaking scene kind of died out. They only come out for TLMC contests now.
Well, blizzard did step in for Daedulus. The proxy oracles in the gold base is just as exploitable so I think they should at least fix that.

better than tvt, what are you smoking?
The truth
You may like it more and there may be great games from it but MMA vs Gumiho and Innovation vs Taeja will live on forever.
Only cause the internet hivemind doesn't understand the intricacies of PvP
I understand them just fine they just don't appeal to me.
The fact that so much of PvP is about what decisions you make rather than how you control your army or position your units is a huge turn off to me.
The very nature of the way Protoss units hard counter each other completely ruins any kind of excitement I get watching the game.
PvP to me is almost pure math 90% of the time. TvT when played well looks like real warfare, it has all of the intricacy of even the highest played PvP except it's actually exciting.

Rofl, TvT is far better. We've never seen any ZvZ or PvP as good as Taeja vs Innovation or MMA vs Gumiho. Not many non mirrors have had better games or come close.
I think we have seen some zvzs during the height of imbalance better then mma vs gumiho not too many but still. It's not like taeja vs innovation or mma vs gumiho are the standard tvt either lol
I think the one ZvZ I've seen that I would call a genuinely great game was that Nestea vs Symbol game on one of the ridiculously giant maps we had, Metropolis or something. There may have been others but that's the one that sticks out in my mind. As for TvTs, we've got all-time standouts like Bogus/Taeja, MMA/Gumiho, Mvp/TOP, and in general just a lot of good games. TvT has been my favorite matchup ever since tanks fell out of regular usage in TvZ. PvP though, it just does nothing for me. They all blend together as a bunch of fast games that end on 1 base or giant deathball laser wars. Definitely the worst mirror by a longshot.

We could have the same finals too. Except Maru exists.
sOs and herO can only meet in the semis in GSL
Oh you're right. Well I'd bet on Maru to beat both of them.
Hmm, I'm not sure what there is to debate, since it's an objective fact that TvT is better than PvP. It's like arguing whether the earth is flat... not worth spending time on.

Keep deluding yourself.
There will never be a PvP series even half as good as some of the TvTs we've seen in HoTS.
How can you watch a series like Innovation vs Taeja at WCS Season 2 and not admit that TvT just has the highest potential of any of the mirrors. Nothing that PvP will ever offer can even hope to compare.
It's all taste. I personally think TvT is quite boring. Especially compared to the current state of PvP
It's not taste if the only players agreeing with you are protoss players.
Protoss players preferring PvP over TvT? YOU DON'T SAY!!!!!

I think the biggest problem is that with longer WCS seasons we have to stay with the same map pool for too long and can't react to imbalances with maps. Also adding not-tested maps like Daedalus to a pool that we have to live with for like 3-4 months is just stupid.

Then I like and appreciate different things than you.
But yes, those were great games. But most of posts in this thread are against PvP finals.
