Today there's no excuse; he had the number of good players to be able to get this right Are you kidding me? Huk's best is PvP, and JYP got to play vs Effort who has the worst ZvP win ratio on the planet. Things couldn't have gone better for EG-TL. They just straight up lost. LOL - hardly my chinese friend I think they drew pretty good matchups overall. maybe switch taeja and hero, but otherwise it was pretty good for the unholy alliance Draws weren't too bad at all. The Proleague games seem to often be quite one-sided because they are such high-level games, one mistake can end up costing you dear.
I'm curious to see what EGTL throw out in terms of lineups later in this tournament. HerO's if anything got vT as his best matchup nowadays, Jaedong is quite an unknown quantity but seems to be very good at Z mirror, I'm not actually even sure what most of the lineup's best matchups actually [i]are[i/] at this moment in time.

I hope we see Sea when the next round of match up are released. Unless they have a lot of in house rankings or something I can't see Huk/Thorzain being better than him atm.

EG-TL is really good and they played the two best PL teams right off the bat, but they definitely need work. Huk's match was iffy, but Thorzain and Hero both made some pretty questionable moves. It might be nerves or maybe just the situation (jet lag and all), but they gotta do something. a team with this much talent should not go to waste (trust me, I'm a Chargers fan).
Taeja played really well, JYP is clutch, and Jaedong is awesome. with Revival, Zenio, Puma, and Stephano, this team should be theoretically unbeatable. I still expect great things in the future, but they have to step it up.

I can't wait to see what other excuses they bring up after sending out Stephano and lose.

Exactly. They definitely drew good matchups considering that the other team's staff is also trying to draw best matchup for their players and snipe opposing players etc.
CJ definitely didn't have an edge in the matchups. Could it have been even better for EGTL? In theory yes, realistically not really.

Anyone who trashes that assessment in hindsight is being a bit of an idiot imo.

You cant question the ace decision there was no alternative. Hero gets upset after loses and Jaedong has lost to often on ohana.
Maybe next time someone else is send but for now you cant question the decision to put teaja in.
But I would ask if you really have to play this wacky drop play. Thorzaine lost like 3 drops or something and didn't presure the front enough and also Teaja lost a double drop before he got crushed. Everything else was totally fine.
+ Show Spoiler +TL HERO HERO HERO HERO HERO HERO Why do you do this to me? Dat Ling push :'(

Sorry, but LiquidHero game had 0 to do with jet lag not practicing or whatever question anyone can think of Hydra basically did what you are suppose to do when you play a opponent scout their playing styles and try to find weaknesses. Hydra knew he wouldn't wall off on that map that he always forge in main so bang i make 19 drones and all in with lings and do back flips n shit gg.
Thorzain played well imo, but didn't think about a possible run by? he played well tho I think he will be the first foreigner to win in SPL

But if they had Stephano tonight then they wouldn't have lost. Him in place of HuK or Thorzain + as Ace if necessary and it would have been a sure win.

CJ also used their rookies , but i guess EGTL returned the favour by using Huk and Thorzain . I was scared , because i don't know what to expect from Bong and SongDuri and both didn't look like they are up to Proleague standart at this point . Had CJ played Skyhigh and Snow i would have been a lot more confident about this match . Thank god for herO[join] saving the match .

I agree, I love huk and thorzain but even with the hero fail, we would've seen our first win had any of the four players mentioned been used instead of the two. But I guess this speaks more to EG-TL's goals. Are they here to win or are they here to pull in more sponsors?
