It doenst matter "the balance" of the map, this is Proleague, every team can choose the player they want, if the map is Zerg favoured they will send a Zerg, others team thinks is Terran favored , they send Terran. There is no unfairness.

There were a ton of crazy maps throughout the years in BW that basically became just mirror matchups. It adds flavor. It's not for everyone but everyone knows about the map going into it. This isn't a Bo3 with a horribly imbalanced map thus giving one side potentially an advantage. Teams can decide what race they want to play on any given map to give them the best advantages. If the games prove to be boring or horrible the map will vanish eventually. I would rather see them continue to try and inject some variance than what's been SC2 the past year.

not every map has to be balanced for all races. that's the point of proleague, part of the strategy is being able to choose which player/race you want to play on which map.
aka if a coach plays a zerg in zvp on a map where zerg has a 10% win rate. then the coach is fucking retarded

Or maybe they are a ZvP sniper and the coach thinks that they will defeat the PvT sniper that will surely come out on this map that was chosen to defeat the terran that will surely come out on this map because terrans have a 60% win percentage on the map. 
I do agree that the maps add a level of strategy to the choices made for players. I for one don't want to see completely random matches every single game.
