Every time people compare silly shit like 'playing right by punishing stupid walloffs' to Kwanro, a baby gets punched to death. Hydra was plenty aggressive like that in BW. People don't know what the fuck they're talking about...

These LR threads are silly, they should be focusing more on the game and not bitching about one side or the other. EG-TL prax more plz.

2 things people need to realize with eg-tl

1. the foreigners cannot compete. simply outclassed
2. taeja and hero are not vastly superior to the kespa players like some people have been saying. vastly superior to the kespa b teamers/lesser players yes, but against the top players from each team they're roughly even.

so what does that mean? eg-tl has roughly 3-4 people who can win a decent amount. not nearly enough to get far in pl

would it somehow in any way be possible for a quick midseason line-up change and naniwa can be added to play for EGTL ?

Why is this so hyped... EG and Liquid will probably only field their korean lineup to avoid embarrassing losses.

- from unholy alliance thread

What did I tell you... unless they field their best korean lineup of taeja, hero and puma.... EGTL will almost always suffer embarrassing losses.

The gap between Western vs Asian players continue to grow...

No surprise.... EGTL can only win with their koreans... white dudes just don't cut it.

+ loose practice regimen compared to kespa teams... rofl EG TL (like every other foreigner team) is in for a rude awakening

... welcome to proleague

After each round, they can update their rosters.

I really dont want this to turn into another GSTL with Liquid participating in one season, never winning, then leaving.
I hope something good happens to change things around soon.

Chances are pretty slim for this, because despite their performance EG-TL has the most marketing potential for western audience.

As long as they send out Thorzain/huk and then eventually idra it will be hard for them to win matches. I know they are the most popular, but they simply aren't good enough and will lose to every Kespa player.

Taeja and Hero aren't the best players in proleague like every die hard fan believed. Players like Rain/Bogus/Baby are straight up better, and then tons of players like Roro/Soo/Flash/Hyvaa/Soulkey/Last/etc are on an even level. Then the other Kespa players are still good enough to take games from them.

Also, the Kespa players will improve at a faster rate because of much stricter practice schedule and more experience in PL. If they don't finish in last place I think it will be a success for TL-EG and it can be taken as a positive experience.

EGTL did a lot better than I would ever expect. They even have a good shot at winning next week against T8... Jaedong and Sea should probably become better and better quickly since they are quite new to sc2 still. But that goes for the other KeSPA teams as well though...

Also: JAEDONG FIGHTING!!
"To all eSports fans, I want to be remembered as a progamer who can make something out of nothing, and someone who always does his best. I think that is the right way of living, and I'm always doing my best to follow that." - Jaedong. /watch?v=jfghAzJqAp0

if they want to keep sending foreigners for the foreign market but still win some games, they should just send stephano to korea and let him play in every series and in every ace match. he is probably the best player of EGTL anyways despite all the koreans

I wouldn't write Thorzain and Huk off quite yet, but as they pick up motivation from their losses, it's playing catchup at this stage of the game.

Taeja and Hero have at least a slight edge against most top Kespa players, but they're totally unprepared against the tendencies of certain players and the nature incisive preparation in PL. We will see how they fair against Rain/Bogus/herO[join]/etc.

Sometimes backwards is forwards.

So EG-TL went from 0:4 against one leading team to 3:4 against the other leading team and that´s somehow horrible? Give these guys a break. It´s not like CJ were a bunch of scrubs. They took out Woongjin 4:1 and against EG-TL they had a harder time. There´s quite a lot of matches to look forward to, but I guess being negative is more fun somehow.

I think CJ has one of the best line-ups this season so don't write of EG-TL yet. If they manage to adapt to the new environment, they'll do alright. Hopefully someone goes beastmode and carries the team to the playoffs.

Please understand that the expectation for many was that EGTL would be the leading team. At 0-2 now, they're not only not in the chase or running for that position--they are dead last.

Disappointed by Hero's play. He can do much better. Jaedong is looking incredibly scary already, and that's a sign, I hope, of amazing things to come from him.
