if fin had beaten virus in the last game, it'd be HuK going through wouldnt it?

Head-To-Head record is the first tie-breaker. Virus was 2-0, Fin 1-1, and Huk 0-2. That's why Huk didn't make it.
Yes, if Fin had won, it would have been Fin 4-1 and Huk 3-2, with Virus 2-3 and everyone else with worse records.

Creator and Happy or Supernova will probably make it in the last day, so the final tally for Code S this season will be 15 T/11 P/ 6 Z.

Hopefully huk will be out of code a first round and have to work his way through the qualifiers like jinro. My man jinro....now that's some moral fibre right there. Yeah I guess all those seasons of him getting to code S and getting deep into the tournament is affirmative action. And Polt should get kicked out of Code S too cause fuck em he doesn't deserve it either right? the furthest huk has ever made it was ro16..once..where he went 0-2..and he feel to the up/downs every season he was in code S.
No in August Code S http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2011_Global_StarCraft_II_League_August/Code_S he got top 8. I remembered that run of course he beat Killer twice to advance to ro16 where he met Nada. Won first game with achon/Stalker/storm then lose second when Nada did a 2 base timing with marine/maurader but won the third game with a dt cheese lol I was mad. Then he got stomped by MVP 0-3 (didn't watch thou).

Ah, Huk is an unfortunate man.
It's crazy, I thought that he'd be one of the chief beneficiaries of the Protoss resurgence. He hasn't been, not really. It was kind of nice seeing him in Code S as a real threat for awhile.
Congratulations to Fin. Let's call him Fin please. It's time for him and us to let go of the past and let him make his own name in SC2.

waoh thats complete bullshit. i understand the system. head to head between the tied players, right? so virus 2-0 fin 1-1 huk 0-2 so because both virus and fin beat huk they are considered better? you could also argue that both virus and fin lost to people which didnt advance, which makes them worse then huk, as score against other players is: huk 3-0 fin 2-1 virus 1-2
theres is a need for tiebreakers in that situation

No one considers them 'BETTER' because they won a best of one against him, but in head-to-head they won and thats how it works. It also works like this in tournaments... why would you need a tiebreaker.

I'm not sure what you're referring to here. A threat to whom? Other Code S players? If you are talking about being a threat for a title, he was never in a position where he was good enough to win GSL. Huk is one of the few Protoss players who remained at a relatively constant level throughout GSL, along with SangHo, even when other (arguably better) Protosses slumped hard. The reason why he isn't doing as well any more is because everyone else has improved.

theres is a need for tiebreakers in that situation If huk advanced due to the head to head score, you would not even say a shit.It is a shame that people like u critize a system that has been used for all sorts of competitions just because ur favourite player did not advance.

Well, Huk might not have advanced, but people definitely cannot say that he is not GSL-caliber or not worthy of that Up and Down seed.

close cut for HuK. better luck next time

WHAT VIRUS BACK IN CODE S? NO?

Yeah, you're probably right. But at least we can point to today's showing as an argument in Huk's favor.
