To have IGN come out with their league, right while NASL was having another one it its nights....wow.... the juxtaposition was harsh.
IGN is gonna get more viewers for a $5000 tourney...and make it free, HD, and extremely well produced (you should have seen it).?
I wish you luck NASL crew... but someone's out to end you. IGN looks to be playing to win.
Fortunately, NASL's player lineup is much more superior to IGN's. No amount of production is going to make me care about a NA-only league.

Sone FRIENDLY constructive criticisms of tonights games:
Khaldor sound quality was not good. Khaldors camera was awful and laggy as well. As for Gretorp he continually is making up words that dont exist. Here is the list of "Gretorp-isms" that I managed to write down during the cast tonight:
- Undisagreeable - Disretreating - Undefending - Synthisticating (I think he meant synergy?) - nonprotecting
Other than that the cast was clear for me, as it is for most subscribers (minus Khaldors crapola web cam lag which was plain awful the entire night).
For me I can look past most of these problems as I overall enjoyed the NASL experience, buit I figure I should mention these issues so that NASL can work to fix them for future.

The lag in Khaldor's cam was a problem of skype and there's really nothing we could have done to fix that, unfortunately T__T!

But the fact that the each NASL game means relatively nothing in the scope of the long schedule compared to a knock out (to losers bracket and then out) tournament, each game in IPL means a lot more then NASL. NASL games seem equivalent to watching Huk or Idra stream. Players don't even seem phased to have walk overs and drop a few games here and there.

Not a bad night all things considered.
But seriously, zoom up to gretorp if he's the only one there. Looks so sad. + Show Spoiler +

Sure you can fix it....dont use Khaldor umtil you can get a connection that works, or find a caster that works well with the show. Also the sound...need I say more?

That where you are completely wrong. The top 2 in each division with the best records move forward. I garuntee that with $75,000 on the line for the top player, every single match is important, and if there are players (ie Naniwa) that dont seem to care about missing a match or two, then they are just plain not smart about this.

why not take a different approach instead of using skype which leads to shitty production?

Just different agendas when watching games. I watch them purely for entertainment purposes, and drama is only a small part of what I care about. Thus, ladder games can be just as entertaining to me as a GSL Code S finals match.
I'm one of those who always watches NBA regular season games of my favorite teams, and will not watch an NBA finals series if it features two teams that I don't care about.

beautiful eloquent analogy ants actually rush toward your fist when you stick it into an ant hill. i'm a 3900+ grand masters ant hill puncher, not that it matters. it's really dumb that they do, since they're just suiciding into the hand and they complain alllll the time about it but ants aren't underpowered at all. they are just not using their ant tunnels correctly. if they use those and pop them up all around the place, there's no way the hand can win trying to fight on so many fronts. 3900+ grand masters ant hill puncher. i'm out.
I love you?
Happy for iNcontroL taking down Zerg's public enemy no.1

Not quite. Top 2 in each group advances, so if someone in your group wins every match, then losing even one match puts you in danger of not advancing. Every NASL match is important, especially for those who have not yet lost or who are in a tough group. What this means is that the early rounds actually matter a lot as if you fall behind, it's going to be hard to claw your way back unless everyone else in your group also loses a bunch.
Where the NASL system breaks down, however, is for players who have already lost a lot of games relative to others in their group. At some point it becomes obvious that you won't likely advance because the other players in your group are so far ahead. It's at that point that motivating players becomes a problem.

Anyways i can't believe Ensnare pulled off that 2-0 Hes a german caster & ex mousesports manger (for WC3) and the sound problems are on NASLs end cuz his normal streams are amazing quality
Thought he was manager of the 4Kings team in WC3 not MouzSports.

Then again, this argument would ridicule any kind of league-play. For all we know, your logic haven't kept regular sports from developing exactly said format.
It is debatable whether or not you should cast all games, but in a broad perspective divisional play is for me the right way to handle any number of more than 32 players. It pleases both players and fans, keeping permeability for new players whilst maintaining long-term stability. Especially the latter would reduce risks and allow potential investors to consider putting more money into the business, which in turn can support a wider range of players to sustain their profession. I'd rather have a simple season with final play-offs than the seemingly over-complicated system of MLG.

Question is, why does this matter? You only see Khaldor for a total of 3 or 4 minutes every hour of the actual games, so a laggy webcam is really not a big deal. Plus he's an awesome caster, so it would be sad to exclude him for such an irrelevant detail.
Sure, all the little things like sound quality and streaming lagginess do matter, but in the end its the games that are the driving force behind how good the tournament is. There's great matchups every day to look forward to and some pretty awesome games to watch. If those are great, then the fact that there's a few hiccups in the first week or two of a brand new production is not really such a big deal.
