This is silly. Most of the previous GSL seasons involved Tasteless talking out of his ass and hoping Artosis didn't call him on it, and if you looked at the body language between them it was hilarious. Tasteless would trail off his sentence and then Artosis would say "well... hmmm... yes but..." because he didn't want to contradict him on live TV.
Kelly is just Tasteless' Tasteless.

You know, there is a large majority which is opposed to kelly's casting for whatever reasons, but you who aren't sure are doing an ace job painting yourself as some mature, moral highground crowd by consistently saying that the only reason people don't like her is sexism and or racism.
A lot of people think her voice is too hard to understand and that her knowledge of the game overall is laughable. The fact that you can't argue against this without saying anything but "you guys MUST be sexist therefore your argument is invalid! Look at how much of a better human being we are for not disliking someone's performance!" paints a far worse picture of you than it does of us.
I found her cast very poor, and I just had to stop listening to it. I ended up listening to in control just so I could pick up on the laughably bad parts that got remarked on, and since the volume was so low on his half outside the skype call, it was as if you were watching the game with different casters/a mute button active, both options say a lot about how poor a decision it was to hire Kelly.
Regardless, it seems those arguing in her favor have nothing to say but "she's a cute girl i want to HIT THAT!!!", or putting down those who don't like her for some sort of moral highground. The day is over, though, tomorrow is code S, and wednesday, the casts will be muted by a lot of people. Whether GOM intervenes we'll see, but we've tasted what the code A stream will be like now, so any more posts about "wait and see what she's like a month from now", please drop it. Her game knowledge won't improve much because it hasn't yet judging by her track record, and neither will her voice.

Did anyone else think that this break was too long? I mean there was GSTL in the gap but still, excited to stay up all night for starcraft again!

@Kelly dealio - Honestly, I don't even want to browse through the last 30-50 LR pages in fear that what people say about the whine is true. Personally, I had no objections other THAN her voice was a little high-pitched for me, and It'll take a bit of time to get used to.

Did iNcontrol re-stream GSL? I saw a video that had him and his commentary with (I think JP).
Im not complaining, but how would JP and iNcontrol like it when people re-stream MLG or NASL???? Whatever.. just wondering..

Criticizing any caster is fine. Its the tone and personal attacks that are thrown in that is the problem. Also, most of it is not constructive criticism, its just whining. The fact of the matter is, Kelly is a caster for GOM. She has shown the passion for the game and genuine interest to play and learn more and more about it, but she also has a few shortcomings. It would be a better use of energy to help her get better then rehash the same complaints and whining over and over again. Articulate what you suggest could be changed, compliment what she does well, etc. Like you would any caster or public eSports figure.
Thats the problem.

So Loner is out, it's a shame he got invited into TSL when there are so many better players than him out there.

You're kinda right but it's gonna take some getting used to for both of them, not just for Kelly. You could tell from time to time that Tasteless forgot what he said in the introduction, which is Kelly would be the caster and he'd be the analyst.
They'll get better, I have no doubt. And they were already pretty OK as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Kelly did a great job. I have no problem understanding her; I like her accent. I also think she demonstrated good game knowledge. I thought her and Tasteless played off each other very well and I am looking forward to more.
She is obviously very excited to be there and is having fun and I like how that comes through in her casting.

I think Kelly did a really good job. She looked totally cute, which matters a lot to me, she had good analysis, shared the airtime well, I can totally understand her, everything was great.
