I was also bummed out by the coverage, especially after Totalbiscuit didnt get an invite to the 2nd tyler game int he mornign and basicly later went down completly... too bad, seems liek it woudl ahve been an awesome tournament if it wasnt for that.... grats to all the liquid guys and especially ret. Dominant liquid performance again, so love it, I think martijn is decent, but maven didn't have any understanding of the game and he even said so himself that he has no rts experience, aswell as him not understanding simple memes like "it's halo". They hear cs fans in the background, martjin : don't worry, it's halo. maven : eh same thing different name wtf? totalbiscuit has even less understanding of the game but he isn't awkward and he is atleast funny to watch

It seems that Liquid' has a very solid lineup. Liquid' imba!! Now its up to Huk and Haypro to come big in a tourney . Also not to put pressure on Ret but I am predicting that Ret will make the finals of Code A this time and also get Code S qualification... Lets see... The Adel vs Socke PvP was great too. It was a great comeback from Adelscott. Now some feedback on the tourney!! - The tourney seems to have been well organized overall. All Matches started right on time and it was easy for me as a spectator to align my activities with the various matches. This is the sort of professionalism an event should exhibit if SC II is to become a spectator sport. I hate it absolutely when I make a 2 hour slot in a weekend according to posted schedule and to have the games delayed. The 1+ hour delays on MLG and IEMs is not acceptable at all! - The caster situation however seems to have been a mess. Quality of casters(which I felt was acceptable) is one thing but having many casters covering an event leading to 10 observers in a match seems to be a mess. Casting is the lifeblood of these events and having a pre defined caster schedule would have been great! It avoids confusion for both casters and viewers. For a tournament as well scheduled as this, it should have been possible to align caster schedules as well. - The Map pool needs looking at. Both IEM and GSL are exploring new maps. All these big LANs need to do the same. Having Blistering sands and Steppes of War is not acceptable in a tourney having such a large prize pool. You will get more exciting games bringing in larger viewership with better designed maps. - More interviews Please!! The main broadcasting channel (GLHF.tv ? ) should have been getting player interviews or some other off stage event after each match! This did not feel like a LAN... It felt more like an online tournament... We want the LAN feel, the drama, the players, the crowds etc etc. Edit: It also looked like during the presentation they were presenting Ret with the prize money check ? Is that legit ? If so it seems like its a major departure from what I have been hearing about tourneys taking months to give out prize money... If that is the case then major respect to this tournament organizers and shame on the other events. There is absolutely no reason for it to take so long to get prize money to the players.

Thanks for your feedback! The caster situation was bit meh, since us admins werent in game at all so we couldnt control anything in there. When the rounds were done, we did consult the casters there, SETT TV and GLHF and then told the players to invite them to the games they wanted to casted and also sort among themselves which games they would cast and make sure they will get invites. So if players misunderstood us or anything and started the game without certain casters then it was out of our hands. We certainly didnt want to restart games to have casters in. Im happy you appreciated our punctuality . I saw some didnt like the big brakes we had especially during day 1. This is the draw back with schedueling that wont be late. We scheduled with problems in mind, but apart from a couple of disconnects and regames everything went so fine that we had a lot of downtime. Day 2 we tried to have less games to be played at the same time which worked pretty well. But realistically, if bnet would have gone down or the internets for the Assembly location for that matter, the original schedule would still have been realistic. The map situation was a bit problematic. The event was planned december and alot has happened since then with the map pool. Using GSL maps would be a bit dumb since almost none of europeans pros have practized on them and we dont feel like we were a big enough event to force them practice them only to possibly never play them again. The two ICCup maps in ESL maybe. You have to remember thought. Players were allowed to eliminate maps. So basically, if steppes was played then there were loads of other maps that the players didnt want to play even more. Some of it was tactics. The price money has been payed in cash to the players.
