If you get DTS you get 2 uselless buildings (Council doesnt really work when you have no units) and uselles units (if detected). Terran have starport which is still really useful- switch - make medievacs/vikings, whatever. Is not hard to understand. Is just that u don't know the role of dt throughout the whole game, u assume they are a unit that can be stop easily once u know is coming. Unless u have map hack, dts can be put to good use throughout the whole game, w or w/o detection. I hope u get it now.

DT rushing isn't new and it's COMPLETELY viable. The Protoss is almost always ahead as the Protoss has an expo whereas the Terrans is delayed considerably. Delaying isn't really a problem if DT's do no damage. You just build units. Protoss can expand, but you will hit a timing when you have units and detection and toss has what? Expansions which has just been saturated (and you spend so much money to make it - even less units). Attack, gg. Think, then post.

from what I've seen, one base hydra isn't really that viable at higher levels, so what could Kyrix have done...

I didn't get to watch all the games but if the results are correct, and they like this. Set 1: TSL_Rain <Scrap Station> choyafOu Set 2: ZeNEXKyrix <Metalopolis> TSL_Trickster Set 3: TSL_Rain<Metalopolis> ZeNEXKyrix Set 4: choyafOu< Scrap Station > TSL_Trickster Set 5: TSL_Rain < Lost Temple > TSL_Trickster Set 6: ZeNEXKyrix < Steppes of War > choyafOu TSL_Trickster - 2:1 choyafOu - 2:1 TSL_Rain - 1:2 ZeNEXKyrix - 1:2 Trickster and choyafOu advance, with choya as first seed since he beat Trickster.

He is kinda TSL_Rain just for protoss, I'm really sad that he gets so much hate. He knows his chances are better when he cheeses or all-ins compared to playing standard, so he does it. Nothing wrong with that. EDIT: On January 05 2011 22:10 raidmaster wrote: Delaying isn't really a problem if DT's do no damage. You just build units. Attack, gg. Think, then post. You obviously haven't seen many DT-builds done by good players....oGsInca played DTs into expo into colossi into winwinwin centuries ago (got reps from mid september) where he beats opponents who got like a turret at their ramp and raven queued up. Toss can throw down the expo at the same time, hell, even BEFORE the DTs are warped. And if the Terrans decide to go all-in leaving their base vulnerable, guess what, you can morph 1-2 archons in time. Now go to the unit tester and try how many marines without stim and without medivacs (T had to build ravens remember?) it takes to actually kill 2 archons.

I thought i did, but i really dont. :-( Think of it as "normal" group play (everybody vs. everybody, tiebreaks decided by who beat whom) with one exception: If after two games exactly one player won both and another player lost both, former player is automatically qualified at 1st place and latter automatically out at 4th place. The remaining two 1-1 players then duke it out for 2nd/3rd place. I still don't get why Tastosis never bothered to learn the format, so that they could explain it decently.
