Haha, tomorow we have Rainbow vs Zerg. Rainbow is good vP, but in GSL3 he played vs a zerg like I would have played. And I'm not exagerating.

Quit trolling, since when are DTs cheese?

Your definition of trolling is completely wrong. Dt's that quickly are cheese. How is that even a debate?

It is not, why are you arguing that, he expanded behind it and its not like it could go extremely wrong.

If dts are cheese so is cloak banshee? I dont believe u can win very game even if u scan a dark shrine building, or it gives u is e time to prepare for it. But it does not mean u can survive a dt harrass all around ur base while attking. Wake up ur idea. Did u watch ogsmc vs rain? He got a raven and dts did still do so much DMG the whole game.

God, is it so hard to understand? You invest in cloaked banshees you will most likely do some damage even without cloak. If you get DTS you get 2 uselless buildings (Council doesnt really work when you have no units) and uselles units (if detected). Terran have starport which is still really useful- switch - make medievacs/vikings, whatever.

Is not hard to understand. Is just that u don't know the role of dt throughout the whole game, u assume they are a unit that can be stop easily once u know is coming. Unless u have map hack, dts can be put to good use throughout the whole game, w or w/o detection. I hope u get it now.

The format's not the problem though, the problem is people keep losing to choya. Why do they do that.

Cheese is something that you can't fall back on if it is unsuccessful. Had Rain stopped the DT rush, Tester would have been behind and would lose. He expanded behind that because his Dt's wrecked Rain's economy+ Destroyed all his add-ons.

No... even if he stopped damage at home that hardly puts Tester in a bad position. Rain cannot mount an attack until he gets a raven or waits for 100 energy.

So what? Testes will already be way behind because he spent so much on useless units. Rain will produce more units and kill him.

No... because Tester will have plenty of time to get his econ and real army up and running.
Seriously I don't think you've seen a high level PvT lately. DT rushing isn't new and it's COMPLETELY viable. The Protoss is almost always ahead as the Protoss has an expo whereas the Terrans is delayed considerably.

Delaying isn't really a problem if DT's do no damage. You just build units. Protoss can expand, but you will hit a timing when you have units and detection and toss has what? Expansions which has just been saturated (and you spend so much money to make it - even less units). Attack, gg. Think, then post.

I play protoss, but that just felt wrong...
from what I've seen, one base hydra isn't really that viable at higher levels,
so what could Kyrix have done...
I have no quote!

Yeah..... if two players go 2-1 and you go 1-2 and lose to the other player that goes 1-2, you shouldn't be last in your group!!!!!! What a stupid system!!! LOL. /sarcasm.

It's not game 3. It's game 6.

oh, wtf? for code s O.o
OH 3rd/4th mach lol.
So it was tester 1, rain 2?

I didn't get to watch all the games but if the results are correct, and they like this.

Set 1: TSL_Rain <Scrap Station> choyafOu
Set 2: ZeNEXKyrix <Metalopolis> TSL_Trickster
Set 3: TSL_Rain<Metalopolis> ZeNEXKyrix
Set 4: choyafOu< Scrap Station > TSL_Trickster
Set 5: TSL_Rain < Lost Temple > TSL_Trickster
Set 6: ZeNEXKyrix < Steppes of War > choyafOu

TSL_Trickster - 2:1
choyafOu - 2:1
TSL_Rain - 1:2
ZeNEXKyrix - 1:2

Trickster and choyafOu advance, with choya as first seed since he beat Trickster.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind.

Choya beat Tester in their match (the scrap station game, remember?) and is therefore the number 1 seed.
it's impossible for a human not to understand how this works

But if I understand it I can't bitch and moan! We can't have that!

Today its exactly the same as a round robin. Derp.

well round robin or not it still doesnt seem like the best players advanced. But hey i guess that's due to few matches.

Tastosis can't stop laughing at the idea of choya being first - although I have to say, choya is a very humble guy, he never actually CLAIMED to be the best...he admits his game isn't perfect and he still manages to take out strong opponents.
He is kinda TSL_Rain just for protoss, I'm really sad that he gets so much hate. He knows his chances are better when he cheeses or all-ins compared to playing standard, so he does it. Nothing wrong with that.

EDIT:

You obviously haven't seen many DT-builds done by good players....oGsInca played DTs into expo into colossi into winwinwin centuries ago (got reps from mid september) where he beats opponents who got like a turret at their ramp and raven queued up.
Toss can throw down the expo at the same time, hell, even BEFORE the DTs are warped. And if the Terrans decide to go all-in leaving their base vulnerable, guess what, you can morph 1-2 archons in time. Now go to the unit tester and try how many marines without stim and without medivacs (T had to build ravens remember?) it takes to actually kill 2 archons.

Ok, so I totally dont get how this new format works. I thought i did, but i really dont. :-(

Think of it as "normal" group play (everybody vs. everybody, tiebreaks decided by who beat whom) with one exception: If after two games exactly one player won both and another player lost both, former player is automatically qualified at 1st place and latter automatically out at 4th place. The remaining two 1-1 players then duke it out for 2nd/3rd place.

I still don't get why Tastosis never bothered to learn the format, so that they could explain it decently.
