Any help? Thanks. I'm unsure exactly what timings you're looking for so I'll have to provide two lins, if neither of them help I'm sorry but I've misunderstood your question. If your question is regards timings for attacks and strategies then this liquipedia page would help: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Terran_StrategyIf you're asking about common timings to be aware of the thread usually linked is this one, although it has been a while so I think some of the timings may be off by a few seconds I guess. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=189301Edit: Editting in a reply to your edit
That's a great start, thank you. I'm basically looking for the timings of the possible attacks following a 1/1/1 opening.
Basically my problem is that after going 1/1/1 and holding off the early pressure someone might throw at me, I'll scout what they are doing and then defend that. I'm never attacking and I'm looking for something to transition into. I'm low gold.

So I am highish diamond on EU. Played against this dude whose nick was Liquidhero. Is there any way to tell if it's the real one. He said he was real, but bad at Engrish.
I mean technically it could be him. He could be diamond because he hadn't played too much. Anyway he owned me with an 11 gate 4warp thingy. There is almost no way of telling if it is the real Liquid`HerO or not short of looking at his computer the instant he is playing you. Judging by what you have told us, I can almost 100% for sure tell you that it wasn't the real Liquid`HerO because his nickname isn't the correct tag for TL and the H and O in HerO arent capitalized. Also, even if it was a smurf, unless he is purposefully losing games, then HerO wouldn't be in diamond league with his main race. Not on the EU server even. I saw Tyler was Diamond on a server the other day. Maybe it was EU too. The exact spelling was "LiquidHero"
Tyler's account was inactive so he had to restart his MMR, starting with placements. He basically won every game, just fooling around (and after going 5-0, he initially got placed in diamond). He quickly made it to Master league, where I believe he hit #1 in his ladder in like 20 games total.
That was a very special circumstance. If Hero was normally laddering, he probably wouldn't be in the same situation that Tyler was in. However, if you upload the replay, we could probably tell you for sure

Well he spelled his name differently, had less than 50 APM, and was in a much lower league.
I don't know how good the real Hero's English is, but I'm pretty sure the one you played was a fake.

Why can't protoss players just build out of gateways, rather than waiting for Warpgate to get strong? To get over the weak early game of P in 2v2, I've just been treating my gates (starting with 2, going to 3 before tech/expo) as standard production structures and then transition as Warpgate comes.
I've looked for a build or guide that mentions this, but I wasn't very successful. What would be the point? You'd only be saving 50/50, since you need the Cybernetics Core no matter what, and the transition from Gateway to Warpgate is only 10 seconds, plus the 5 seconds for warp in, so unit build time is only 15 seconds for the first ones from the Warpgate. You should keep making units out of your Gateways while researching Warpgate, but there isn't really much reason to neglect Warpgate, unless you are doing a zealot all in, or something else that negates the Cybernetics Core entirely.
Actually I believe its even worse than that. According to liquipedia it takes longer to produce from gateways than it does to produce from warpgates because warpgate cooldowns are shorter than build times from gateways across the board.
Numbers:
Zealot: Gateway - 38 sec Warpgate - 28 sec
Sentry: Gateway - 37 sec Warpgate - 32 sec
Stalker: Gateway - 42 sec Warpgate - 32 sec
Dark Templar: Gateway - 55 sec Warpgate - 45 sec
High Templar: Gateway - 55 sec Warpgate - 45 sec
Source: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Warp_Gate Liquipedia articles for individual units
Consequently there is absolutely no reason or excuse for not getting Warpgate tech. Its only 50/50, it helps alleviate the relative slowness of Protoss units, its available from a building you basically have to build (cheese aside) and it cuts up to ten seconds per unit off production cycles.

I've heard people talking about a way to make your opponent the same color on the minimap in each matchup. I haven't figured out how to yet, anyone wanna share?

Against Terran, Is it better to burrow banelings on ramps or on open space where most players usually gather their units and siege up before attacking?

Why do some pros scout cross-position first on some maps?

because as I found out the other day on certain maps you can't spawn close ground positions. So only two places you can be.

Click the button to the right of the minimap that makes your opponent show up as red.

You do this by clicking a little button on the right of your minimap. I believe it's the one that looks like two hands shacking which shows all friendly as green (you) and all enemy as red (your opponent) - but I'm just waiting for an update to 100% confirm it is that button. I'll edit this if I was mistaken.
Edit: After all the waiting for a slow update I was beaten to it. 2nd Edit: I was correct about it being the hand shaking button - alt+f is default shortcut.

Now that I'm aware of some Terran timing pushes, what ones are viable following my 1/1/1 build when playing a TvT matchup?
Thanks!

Is there a certain hotkey setup zerg should go for? I'm thinking of changing my basic mutation and hatchery hotkeys and wonder whether I should get a complete overhaul over and done with now.

Does average AMP vary between races in pro-play? Has this been measured?

do you have any tips how to recover from a loss streak (10+)? i know my mistakes in the games, i think. but i have a totally blown away ego to play. i tried breaks between the games but i keep losing. i tried smashing things, but didn't work either. it feels to me that i'm misplaced in my league. but last week i've won almost everything. or does starcraft matchmaking work that way to "force" a 10 win streak after a 10 loss-streak and so on? i want to say no but this had happened to me before and keeps happening.
any advise how to deal with a losing streak?

1 Army 2 Mutalisk 3 Army 4 Army 5 Hatches 6 Hatch + Queen Main 7 Hatch + Queen Natural 8 Creepqueen and later 3rd hatch + Queen 9 Hatch + Queen Fourth 0 Evochambers + Spire
Whenever I grab a macro hatch, I'll hotkey it to the hatchery it's closest to (eg. Main). The advantage of hotkeying both Hatches as Queens is that, even when your queen get's sniped, the base cam hotkey is still available.
1/3/4 are Army. 1 is mostly the giant bulck, 2 Mutas, 3 can be infestors or a runby squad. I might also use 1 with the entire army and 3/4 with a half on each for easy surrounds !
The queen has a higher priority than a hatch, so when you 66v you still get to insta inject!

Quit playing Starcraft. Go read a book, look for some new music, go for a run. LEAVE anything Starcraft-esque for AT LEAST half an hour. You are tilting when you are on a losing streak, which makes you lose focus, lose again, etcetera. break the cycle and go on a winning streak until your mmr rebalances !

2 other possible reasons:
Player wants to scout for proxies, which sometimes are built in the center of the map and otherwise will not be seen via a direct scouting route.
Matchups play out differently depending on spawn locations on some maps. For example, cross spawn on antiga plays out much differently than horizontal/vertical spawn antiga. Some players may have different preferred strategies/BOs for cross spawn on a map versus not cross spawn, and they need to know asap whether or not it's cross spawn or not.

In TvP, how can I tell when I'm facing a 2 base timing build versus standard macro-oriented play?

simple question:
in TvP, I want to practice engaging the protoss death ball (viking targeting, stim, emp etc) anything better to use than unit test map?
Thanks
