Is it possible to make Bound games like in bw? I absolutely loved those. I'd be surprised if it's not possible since the editor has a lot more features, but then I'm curious as to why it hasn't been done yet.

How do I make units spawn in at particular intervals? How do I set the game to end at a particular time with a timer in place? And, how do I set victory conditions if they are...unconventional (Units have to kill a particular building, etc.)?

Does anyone know what happened to the Run Kitty Run map? It was one of my favorite customs back on beta, I've looked long and hard for it, but it seems that after beta it just dissapeared.

This was the map, and yeah it was a remake of the bw one (which was awesome.)

I'm assuming you're talking about the textures: The textures get copy/pasted with the terrain, which often leads to strange looking texturing when it's copied and rotated.

Without knowing anything else, I'd say it looks like a lighting thing, since maps can have multiple lightings now. If that's not it, you might be encountering a special glitch or something.

1. Depending upon your needs you should use wait functions, a periodic trigger, or most likely an action defintion with a loop.
2. Have a trigger that created a timer, timer window, and sets the time to a variable. Another trigger should have an timer ends events and a victory/defeat action.
3.Yet again this is very specific to how you want the game to end, but as per your example you will want a unit dies event with conditions to specify the exact unit that needs to die, and then an action to end it for players.

I would like to know if any of the current ladder maps are similar in the way you can only spawn on left or right opposite of your opponent for instance like Shakura's Plateau.

Of these maps? Which are similar in this way and explain how ? Please and thank you.

The only one of those that has restricted spawns is Shakuras Plateau. All the others are either two spawn only or large enough that it's not necessary.

By "How" I assume you want to know how to enforce spawns in a similar manner:

Go to Player properties -> Advanced Team placement.

In the pop out window you can select a spawning position on the left side. On the right side you can mark the possible spawning positions for your enemy. If you for example select the spawning position on the bottom left (on the right side of the popup) you should mark the opposite (top right) spawning position for your enemy. If you would want all spawns but horizontal spawns enabled you have to mark the top right and top left spawning position on the right side of the popup.

You might have inadvertently changed their display setting, and/or patching might have done so. Try turning off "show cliff terrain cells" or something like that in the menu options for the layers and whatnot. The hotkey is a button combo you might hit accidentally at any time, i do it a lot.

Not sure if this is the right subforum/thread to ask this BUT
I have been looking for some TD's to play with friends/on the arcade for a while.
But i can't seem to find a TD which is based around you sending mobs for income/building towers, its 2 up to 8 players and it doesn't have anything like "elemental" or "mining" or "upgrades" .
I remember the mod in warcraft 3, it was a really clean map that you could play during a casual chatter or while reading, but i can't seem to recall the name.
If anyone knows what i am talking about and knows such a map in starcraft 2 i would be glad to find out about it.

I have a question more about the design of maps in SC2 and not how to make them, but whatever happened to Mineral only bases? They featured pretty heavily in the later Broodwar maps and it really added some strategy into where you'd take your third. Either they're pointless in SC2 (not sure why they would be) or people haven't looking into them, but is there a reason why they kind of just disappeared off the face of the earth?

Min only bases are really T favored in SC2. Lategame, T typically needs minerals instead of gas.

I think there could be ways to balance this. But we don´t know enough about the game yet, in my opinion.
