Hi, I'm done taking screenshots of my map, but one of my overview map picture is in the format of .tga since I use mac. Does anyone know a good, safe, free, legal picture format converter? Is it possible team liquid forum can support .tga, so that I don't have to go through the converting if possible? Thanks

I don't know about pathing, but for the units/doodads/terrain you could go to each layer, select the whole map, rotate, go to the next layer, select all, rotate, etc. If the units or doodads are slightly off you could select them all and shift them together and they should all be in the right place.

Edit: I tried it with pathing, looks like you can't select pathing the same way : (

Is there anywhere that I can get a basic KoTH mod? I want to add it to some of the maps I've mad so that my friends and I can play them multiple times

So I've made a custom unit, using the void seeker model. It's a ground unit that's supposed to hover just above the ground. Only problem is that it hovers too low, so it's half in the ground. How can I raise the height at which a unit hovers?

im not sure the exact button on mac. but whatever the screenshot button is ingame in sc2, will work in the editor. also there is no running tlmc contest at the moment.

I'm making a custom unit right now. Basically, it's a lurker, but I've replaced its attack to be essentially a baneling launcher. Two issues:

1) How do you make a proper burrow animation? Right now, the unit just sits there for a few seconds and then it becomes the 'burrowed' unit, except it's still above ground looking exactly like an unburrowed unit. EDIT: so I've managed to fix the burrowed unit, but there's still no animation between the two. Functionally everything works as far as being able to attack, not being able to move, etc. but it just looks dumb. Also, for some reason I can't select them once they're burrowed if I happen to deselect.

2) How can you add an explosion when the attack lands? Right now I've got an effect that I call that does damage on impact, but I'm not sure how to also add an explosion? Can you do that in effects?

I recently have an issue with the map "ESV Korhal Compound TE" which seems not to be published on EU any more. I can still play it in single player mode vs KI though (and even offline). So it must be anywhere on my PC ready to upload to battlenet. But until now I can't find it. Does anyone has an advice? Really want to play it with firends online again.

Is there a melee map archive or database (website) that contains all of the (approved) maps made by the community so far?

I was looking for some fun melee maps to test but digging through all those posts takes some time, an archive with a search function (with 1v1, 2v2, small size, medium size, large size filters and the like) would be really awesome to have.

Though I'm sure if this was made by someone it would be easier to find I suppose =(

Go to dependencies, change the order of them, the game reloads them. Remember to change them back though. Then you should have to restart the editor and it will work fine.

I have a problem with the map editor, after I got the patch today. My map is no longer Melee, (It was last night when I uploaded it for early testing. Picture of the errors: [image loading]

EDIT: Also, the ground is being pulled into the walls. It is hard to describe.

EDIT2: How do you copy/paste textures?

I figured out the problem you're having (I was having it at first, as well).

In Map Options you should check the very bottom box (Automatically Add Multiplayer Data). This gets rid of your first error. For the second error you have to make sure -only- Liberty (Mod) is enabled and NOT the multi mod under dependencies (as far as I can tell, you only need the multi mod now for Arcade games).

As for my problem, I looked at the battle.net forums and apparently 99% of the people trying to publish right now are getting that error so I'm not sure what we can do other than wait. Some people said it's cuz their server load is too high so if you keep trying it might work. idk. If that's the case it should work late tonight.

You should be able to edit the fog in the data editor (F7) under terrain types. Pick whatever terrain type you selected when creating the map (ie. Mar Sara). You can change the color/density/falloff, whatever you want really.

Is it no longer possible to copy paste terrain between maps of different tilesets?

Edit: And it is only snappign to the large grid rather than letting me be a lot more precise.

What gives is this intentional or is there some settings i now need to change? cant find anything in preferences..

My cliffs are bugged as of 1.5. Stretched out, and pulled down. Is there a fix to this?

You might have inadvertently changed their display setting, and/or patching might have done so. Try turning off "show cliff terrain cells" or something like that in the menu options for the layers and whatnot. The hotkey is a button combo you might hit accidentally at any time, i do it a lot.

I was having the same problem, apparently you can see them when you have the blue and yellow outline showing map boundaries on.
