Go File->Open, then select the tab with Battle.net

I don't really understand the classifications in tourneys, for example, Group S, Group D etc. Can someone enlighten me please?

If workers can phase through units when heading to a mineral patch, can they phase through Zerg eggs? In BW I think it worked, does anyone know if it works in SCII?
|
How do you choose which ingame GUI is shown when you test the map? It's random atm. Is it possible at all?

I cant seem to find the download for some maps on battlenet. ie I wanted to see how some triggers in Zealot frenzy worked but it doesn't show up in the download dialogue...
|
Often times mapmakers publish there maps in 'Locked Mode' which means that they won't be available for download. This is in order to protect their maps from all sorta bad things^^
That means your best bet is to ask about it on sc2mapster.

maps are saved in a cache folder on your computer but you can't open them easily. they are randomly named as a string of characters and once you've found it, you have to open it in an MPQ editor even then. you wont be able to get the triggers. you can however view the mapscript.galaxy which is all the triggers in galaxy form. but you cannot translate this back to GUI triggers as a locked map removes the neccesary information

Ok thanks.
*edit
One major problem I'm having now is I cant seem to duplicate units that reference the same model? Is there a way to work around this?
|
how to fix this?

Did you try paving over it and redoing it?

How do you change the model of the Watchtowers to something else that's cool and animated like in some GSL maps?^^
|
Data editor, I believe jonathaz did a topic on it.
Go forth and use the searchfunction young one
|
Well he made a topic about putting watchtowers under other doodads and then it looks like that doodad is the watchtower^^ People in the topic suggested some model changes and I guess I could do that easily but I wanted to know if there's something more to know about changing it to another model with an animation like the towers on GSL maps.
|
Yeah I wanted to check that out for a long time now but I think it's pretty complicated. I think the animation thing is done somehwere by changing the flags or w/e.
|
Hmm, nobody from the TL forums knows?

Go into the data editor, look for the "Xel'Naga Tower" under "Melee" -> "Neutral" -> "Resource" Now, find its acter, should be named "Xel'Naga Tower", flip to the "Art" tab, you will see a field named "Model", and that is your man.
