Is it Possible to code something that gives you a Random Map?

In other words, a 1v1 custom, that when the players enter it, it simply loads a random Ladder map?

Or are Custom maps by definition a fixed 'Map'?

small question:

i made a custom map with custom game variants. player1 is in team 1 and 2 computers are in game 2. Is it possible now that spectaors can join and watch everything?

when i tried that it says lobby is full and i couldnt make me self to a spectaor.

decals (under props) sometimes dont show up for me... like ill be editing or re open the map and they wont be visible... any help?

i mean like once they are placed on the map. thanks

Click "new.." (ctrl+n / new map) then click cancel in the New document pop up will force a reload of doodads and decals will become visual again. It is slightly faster then restarting then editor.

I want to create a rotational symmetry map but I am encountering several problems:

+ Show Spoiler +
Making mineral arcs perfect.
Making sure that every mineral is minable from the command center side.
Making sure that the command center is as close as possible to the resources.
Do I have to manually make sure every part of the map is symmetrical to every hex, or is there a way to copy/paste/rotate that I am unaware of?
If I have to test this, how do I make an enemy so I don't win immediately?

ive switched a bunch of textures so that the default braxis alpha rocks dont fit anymore. is there a way i can swap out the (rock, rock small, rock giant, etc etc) to a different tileset, without doing a major texture switch?

After watching Day9 Daily #309 about the right way to learn, I realized something. I have no plan against Protoss. Against Terran, I always try ling/bling muta. With Protoss, I either beat them early with roach aggression or die to their death ball later on.

And I don't really know what Pro zergs do either. They seem to do a mix of things. It is like no one really knows what the goal is against Protoss.

So, what should I be trying to get? What composition of units should I ascertain and how should I go about getting them?

When hotkeying several queens, how do you "toggle" between them so fast (for injecting larva) i cant seem to figure it out and i always see it in streams.

Tools -> Brush -> allow cliff merging

now you can use both type of cliff together but be aware that it will bug out and make a gap where they merge. You have to fill the gap with a doodad, typically you want to use any of the gap filler doodads but other doodads can fill in as well.

Sadly no, there are no features in the Galaxy editor that allow you to transform terrain.
But it would be a nice feature.
I'm trying to learn how to play tetris A type music by lowering/raising my Supply Depots.
