Does anyone know how to import the nilfheim tileset used in gsl Crevasse? I downloaded the map and went to map textures to get it but I don't really know where to go from there.

Use the searchbox to your topright here on TL. Theres some topics about that subject. Just look for Nilfheim.

Q:

Has there been an solution to placing doodads on top of roadways. It seems both are "painted" onto the terrain and changing the terrain height does nothing. Seems there unfortunately isn't a bring-to-top option.

Mirrored is consider more balanced. The issue with rotational is that often makes one players bases more vulnerable such as with the naturals where one will be located between both players for one player and the other natural we be away. Granted having more land connections causes more issues which is why crevasse has a lot of air space around the land masses.

That can be done using trigger. I believe "unit is removed" as the event would work and then just have a look at a tutorial for changing water levels . The action would be "set water state" but to make it smooth again check tutorials for the right settings (i know there's at least one good one) - even in the event that the water itself needs a whole trigger to itself you can set it up so that one trigger will respond to another trigger.

How would I import terrain textures from other titlesets? Like, if I'm making a map with a char titleset and I wanted a ulaan sand texture.

in the top menu go to Map
go to map textures
click the box modify textures
on the slider to the right schroll down to the bottom. It should look like this:

On this screenshot I am using the Ulnar tileset but I have replaced all textures with Korhal and Tyrador. Simply add and remove the textures you like. You are still limited to 8.

Finally to apply the changes go back to the Map textures menu and "reset to defaults" to apply changes.

probably a stupid question so apologies, but on my friends list in sc2 battlenet, some friends show just a name, some show as a name AND when they were last online..... anyone know why? this has been majorly bugging me. its really useful to know when a friend was last online (i.e. if they were on 1min ago i can text them to get them back online!)

I struggled a lot with this on my map Premiere. Sometimes it seemed like I had the Terran Tarmac doodad laying over the road, but next time I loaded up it would get messed up. Blizzard tweaks the road pieces a lot in patches. I'd head over to SC2Mapster and see if some of the wizards over there have figured out a cute way to make work consistently.

This is how I would look for an answer to my simple question before posting it here. I want to know how to tweak the fog settings in the editor, so:
  1. Click the magnifying glass next to the TL search bar to bring up the search page with extra options.
  2. For this search I'll put simply "fog" in the search bar.
  3. Check the "title and content" option.
  4. Change the forum to SC2 Maps
  5. Hit Search --> to see this.
  6. Scroll down past the topic titles that matched (unless you see exactly what you need there).

My first guess is that some of your friends are regular in-game friends (like, right-click -> add friend) and some of your friends are Battle.net friends (you traded e-mail addresses and you can see them even if they are playing WoW). See if that is what divides who you get last-online info for.

Somehow i cant place a ramp leading from my main to the natural...
Main height is 10 and I tried around with different lower heights (6/8) and adding cliffs but somehow I cant figure it out how to di it

You can only place ramps on cliffs. Use the cliff tool instead of raise/lower terrain.

When you start a new map you can pick melee(liberty) or campaign(liberty). I've always picked melee but it seems I miss out on some doodads by not picking campaign.

I heard you need to take a few things into account when picking campaign, like creep tumors being visible, so I would like to know how to fix that and also if there is anything else I need to account for?

Yeah there's a ton more doodads. The visible creep tumor bug is an easy fix. You simply open the data editor, search for the creep tumor (burrowed) under units and right click > reset unit to parent.

I don't know if it was because of this but on one motm submission there was a problem where some of the upgrades were gone.
