For the Modify unit effect,look for the stats tab. Now change the HP feild to whatever you want. Like...HP: - 45

New Question: I have an idea for a map but i dont know how to do it. I want the player to play a regular comp in a regular league map. But now i want to add apm and mineral usage thresholds so that if a designated apm isnt reached, it triggers like a flash or shakes the camera or something.
Essentially, it trains a player to be better in terms of mechanics.
I reaallly think this is a cool idea that could really help players get better. D:

I'm new to this mapmaking thing and I've watched a few terrible tutorials and I've figured out most things required to make a new 1v1 map. I've ran into a problem: I clicked Generate Foliage and my whole map is covered in a whole shitload of foliage all over the map :/ How can i remove all foliage so i can add it in later bit by bit (which I know how to do).

u need to wipe it clean (i hate "auto" generate foliage) the "quick and dirty" answer is in a previous page (i'll edit link if/when my kid agrees he needs his nap ;-) (or you could find it yourself = quicker) You toggle terrain/choose foliage and then paste ("paint" oon the map the "no foliage area".. brush up the whole map (at least anywhere where foliage might appear and simply re toggle/click on "generate foliage" (i realize that this is counter intuitive maybe, but it works ), any space not brushed up might still have foliage..)
E]dit: "quick and dirty" answer: Y+ Show Spoiler +ou can erase all of it by "generating" after having set the density/increment option to 0

D: If you mean like the "macro or die" cool ideas/maps = learning triggers (it's not as bad as learning actors in the data editor, so go for it )

So my map was started from a square and eventually was molded into a more defined shape so there's a floor that I don't want to be there so its just a platform in space (not the square). How can I selectively remove parts of the map so I can see space in the background like in maps like Scrap station?

you need to be on the "space" tileset, (maybe i should add, sorry )
if you are not: 1/i'm not sure you can change =>sc2m + Show Spoiler +picture it like an animated gif behind the map, if you can't access/change then you have to rethink how to deal with this, you are up to it.. and next time choose the proper one ;-) 2/doodads can be very effective at resolving this issue (they are in-build for that precise purpose) glhf

Anyone knows where I can add more friends for custom game practice? I don't want to ladder now; just want to build up skill through custom games before starting laddering again. When playing random custom games, I can only play Zel Naga Calvern and Shatter Temple. So, I want more friends who are willing to play custom games with me on other ladder maps.

how do you unblocked alliances, so lets say i want to do a 2v2 and then theres two players left, i wanna play against that last player, n the top right corner it doesnt let me unlock allinaces, why why why???

thanks JJ! In the lobby there is an option titled "Lock alliances" that disables or enables the abillity for players to ally with other players.

I haven't really done map editing before other than messing around making maps with the Warcraft III one so I think I am going to read a lot to find out what I need. I want to make a UMS that is a hybrid of Warcraft III and SC2, mostly I want to have a building that you can get a hero out of, more or less, as well as creeps guarding various places that can be killed for resources/hero xp/(maybe items, not sure on this).
What I want to know is a few things: 1. Are there any existing UMS's similar to what I am trying to create? 2. Are there any recommended guides I should read? 3. Is this overly ambitious for a first real project? 4. Anything else I should know?

The "show placement grid" option doesn't work for me anymore, but worked some weeks ago. Anyone having the same problem and knows how to fix it?
Ah lol I found it... The view pathing was unsigned, I just don't get why as I never did anything to unsign it. But now it works again!

I tried a quick search but didnt see what I was looking for... I am trying to add water to my map, but it keeps putting the water on top of the terrain I want above water, and it places the water like 3 spaces above where Im actually placing my cursor. Ive tried going to Map Options to change the default cliff level, but it doesnt appear to be helping. I saw earlier in the thread someone said to hold shift to add something to the lowest level possible, but that doesnt do anything for some reason. Any ideas how to do this?
Edit: I actually figured it out, I think. While going to Map Options didnt allow me to change the base height level, going to Data > Modify Height Field did allow me to change the height level, so the water doesnt cover up the cliffs I dont want it to.
