nobody. i repeat NOBODY is going to take Jaedong and Flash from the top spots
They're too dominant
But Leta, Sea and Light deserve some mention for kicking ass all over WL

Light should still be ahead of Jaedong if he qualifies. One all kill does not mitigate the complete garbage WL performance Jaedong has had overall -- to which Light has thrived. If Light is
A: In MSL, like Jaedong B: Dominating WL harder than Jaedong to the point where he beat Jaedong, and C: In OSL over *Zero*, unlike Jaedong (who lost to Baby)
Then Light should be #2. Plain and simple.
But that requires him beating Zero convincingly, which I don't think he will.

People seem to forget that jaedong did beat baby in winner's league as well... he hasn't been doing crap-tastic (getting a 3-kill against wemade [which won hwadong Oz the match, thus not giving him a chance for an all-kill], an all kill against HITE, and a couple of 1/2 kills). While Light's all-kills are super impressive, Jaedong has gotten sniped once or twice, but especially showed off his great skills in his own all kill.
The power rank isn't always about that month's performance only as well, there is a lot of reliance upon the community's gauge of that player's skill, estimations of how that person would do in a bo3 against the rank1 player, etc.
And as the last power rank said, getting an all-kill against ACE etc. isn't the best measure of skill (especially when there was some definite struggling), whereas the dongster rolled yellow like he was nothing and had an admittedly troublesome time in an epic game against Leta (who is pretty hot right now).
Conclusion: JD should get the 2nd place if Light doesn't show a definite skill gap over a player like zero. I would take JD in a BO3-7 against most anybody but Flash atm.

I hope no one argues that
a) Flash is number one and b) Jaedong and Light are number 2 and (or 3 and 2).
Those are facts and you would have to be a total fanboy / hater to argue with it. Imo #4 should also be clearly Stork and from then on it gets difficult.
For the number 2 on the list in my opinion at this point JD should still be ahead slightly of Light but if Light passes his group 2-0 or 2-1 in a convincing manner then he should get 2nd place. If he only loses 1 game in a whole month in which he played so many games and that one loss is against the #1 and involved multiple sick reads from #1 then there is no reason to deny him the #2.

My baby referal wasn't intended to 2nd place but to any pr position . In my opinion jaedong did play less than his usual self and i would have expected him to do a bit better espescially in winner's league but i agree he still should stay in a 2nd place . what i did mean to say is baby who showed consistency in the month before has shown us he can overcome difficulties (taking jaedong in a bo3 is something i can count on 1 hand ) yes he lost to good players but he held the main goal of getting to the msl/osl + playing well in the winner's league

And jaedong lost to Darkelf.. I dont care but you just dont loose to people like Darkelf and retain a spot of second strongest player, or its just ridiculous..
He even lost to light, and modesty, and baby in OSL, very important..

Jaedong vs Light is simply the question of which is weighed heavier --- somewhat more recent success or much more benefit of the doubt?
A lot depends on Light vs Zero. If Light goes out against Perfectman, well...

Flash lost to M18M, and Flash wasn't sent out first so Khan didn't get to prepare a map-specific snipe. Your logic is ridiculous.

What are u smoking ? Yes they sniped him with DarkElf comeon.. 1000 darkelf could try to snipe flash and they would fail hard..
Flash won against Stork, Jangbi, and Firebathero.. then he lost against m18m, watch the game and see how he lost..
While jaedong won against gorush, and loose to darkElf.. How can u even compare an army veteran to a young samsung protoss ))

I'm sorry to bring it to you but you are wrong sir. Flash WAS sent out first against Smasung lol. He rolled over all top Samsung players to be sniped finally by M18M. And check out M18M winrate in PvT it is righly high. the kid has some beatly PvT.
If Light qualify to OSL there shouldn't be any doybt that he deserves being nr2. If he doesn't it will depend on his further performance this month. Jaedong had another (relatively) weak month. Keeping him as nr2 if Light continue playing like this would be giving him a bit more benefit of doubt than he deserves.
And what's wrong with neing nr3 in the PR? It is still damn high place.
|
Unless Light flames out tonight in spectacular fashion he should get #2.
|
Yeah if light continues to perform well he deserves nr2 rank. Jaedong have been slumping by his own standards for a while now and this is the one month for someone else to shine until jaedong reclaims his spot as he certainly will very soon.

I want to see PerfectMan 2:0 Light so that Zero is basically guaranteed a spot in the OSL and Jaedong is that much more likely to have #2 PR. I like my zergs, Flash is the only terran I need

What's wrong with Jaedong and April? I haven't noticed any notable correlation.

He's pseudo slumped every april for the past 3 years.
