hmmmmm IT seems the Month of March wont be having anymore events after Group L of OSL seems like the right time for people to make their prediction lists!
1.Flash ("dont even try to argue this one") 2.Light (if he makes the OSL) 3.Jaedong (hes been doing better than i thought and just recently got an allkill but got kicked out the OSL..) 4. Stork (didnt play much (3-2) and made the OSL) 5.Leta (Impressive winrate this month also only to beat flash this month) 6.fantasy (held his ground and the best on T1 atm) 7.BaBy (TOOK DOWN JAEDONG AND IS ONE OF FOX'S ACE) 8.hyvaa (Winnersleague wonder) 9.Shuttle (holy hell is he good atm.) 10.Calm (I guess he can go in since he hasnt been Clam more than once and lost to Flash)
CBNC Kwanro was rolling this month. i think he can go in and replace fantasy/hyvaa. im a nub forgive me! If Sea Played more. hiya and kal didnt do bad. Calm Shuttle and hyvaa did alot better

Leta lolol
I guess you didn't notice that he is out of both leagues?

be back with more reasoning dear god no. None of the people you put in your top 10 could take jaedong in a bo5
1. Flash 2. Jaedong 3. Light 4. Leta 5. Stork
Forget the rest. just cannon fodder

I disagree. Jaedong could easily take himself out in a bo5. It'll be close, but he can definitely beat himself if he could ever play himself.

@Xero I put Jaedong 5th because he played like shit this month and got kicked out of the OSL (WTF)

Ugh I hope we don't put anywhere above 8th or 9th on the PR when they DON'T MAKE A LEAGUE
Fantasy's in both leagues, so is Calm, and they are both playing fairly well and should be high.

i will be very sad if kwanro is not in top 5 this month. dual leaguer+solid playoff performance+likely osl/msl champion.

people who should be in PR, imo.
1. flash 2,3,4 in some order: jaedong stork light
others: leta fantasy calm kwanro baby shuttle kal? zero, pending results tonight
|
i would say vaguely
1. Flash 2. Light 3. Jaedong 4. Stork 5. Calm 6. Leta 7. Shuttle 8. Kal 9. Kwanro 10. Baby
i'm a huge leta and baby fan so i think it's funny i'm putting them below everyone else but i don't think they're consistent yet the way some other names on the list are. fantasy i don't think i've seen anything good from recently but i could be forgetting

I think Kwanro should be in top5. As much as I hate the guy, he got good results (again), and his play looks more intelligent than ever.

1. Flash 2. (or 3.) Jaedong 3. (or 2.) Light (unless he comes through his group, which I do not believe, but if he does then he is clearly second ) 4. Stork: very close to Top3 and since Plexa is biased he might put him 3rd and Jaedong 4th, but from a neutral point he is clearly 4th 5.Calm: here is the big gap to the top 4: I know Plexa hates him, but he is since 5 month or so in Top5 of both Kespa and Elo ranking, he is still in both Starleagues and he played a solid month. He belongs into the PR, and before the others, no doubt about it. 6. Fantasy: Fantasy is the only one of the who was on PR before and who is still in both Starleagues. He also plays at least somehow solid in Winner's League as the only one in his team. 7. - 10.: calm kwanro baby shuttle kal Hiya zero (depends on todays results) No one of them really stands out.

Yeah, but apparently some can take him a Bo3 which is just as important as a Bo5 in OSL (more important if you're in prelims, but if you're not then unless you are seeded into group rounds, you have to play atleast one, maybe 2 Bo3s to qualify to groups, and a Bo3 in the Ro8 before you can dream of playing a Bo5), though not as important in MSL (which has 3 Bo5s in the latter stages instead of 2 or 3 like OSL).
Also, apparently in Bo1s, which are also relevant even if you're seeded in either tournament.
This is why I hate the "wouldn't win in a Bo5" Argument. Bo5s are the final test in a big tournament but it isn't an excuse for doing incredibly poorly in Bo3s and, more importantly, Bo1s, because Bo1s are highlight of the biggest league (proleague as an overall, and Winner's League for it's crazy posterity).

Leta's all kill of KT Rolster is only special because of Flash. But let's be honest Leta's best matchup by miles is his TvT and has always been one of the best. Once Flash was knocked out, he had to either deal with slumpers (Forgg, Violet) or inexperienced players like Stats who obviously panicked under the pressure.
The same goes for Jaedong's all kill of Hite. You can't just ignore the fact that Hite has literally never won against Oz or the fact the whole team put together has won like twice against Jaedong. Not a single member of Hite can be considered to be extremely good at their vZ matchup so no shit they're going to get all killed by Jaedong.

There is no such thing as an all-kill that was "just going to happen", except MAYBE against Ace; the fact that you treat these all-kills as though they were to be expected is just a testament to how strong Jaedong and Leta are in WL.
|
Light is in any case is the second, cos' his stats in the WL does't go to any comparison with JD's stats Be objective Light 24 - 7 (still in OSL) Jaedong 15 - 8 (kicked out from OSL by BaBy(!!!!))

It's not only about this month. You also have to count (although it's weighed less heavily): Light : not current MSL champion Jaedong : current MSL champion
IMO, if Light loses to Perfectman then it's Jaedong > Light; if Light loses to ZerO then it's close; and if Light beats ZerO then it's Light > Jaedong.

My point is not all all kills are equal in value. Considering the maps used in Winner's League, Leta has a distinctive advantage against protoss players, which helps him greatly in improving the quality of his mediocre TvP.
Hite has probably worse against good well rounded zergs than the vast majority of teams. Besides Leta, who only recently got crushed by Hydra and Hyvaa, who on Hite has a good vZ matchup? They got so desperate that they even sent out Hogil, a guy who has lost over 70% of his ZvZs, hoping he could use the nature of ZvZ to fluke a win.
Just because you "all kill" doesn't mean you deserve to keep your 2nd place or get bumped up a ton of places. If they don't have anything to stop you, you should be worried if you can't get close to an all kill. Jaedong's performance against Wemade, in my opinion, is worth far, far, far more than his all kill against Hite simply because Wemade had and actually sent out players that were a threat to him.
I don't understand the fixation with all kills. Its a quick way of showing how good a player is performing at that moment if he keeps getting them but it doesn't mean anything if you don't look at why the all kill happened. I would consider a lot of the two/three kills (Light vs Hite, Flash vs Khan for example) this season to be more impressive than many of the all kills we've seen.
