As all toys have roles, a mass claim should probably eventually take place. That way we don't have any surprises, or at least less surprises. It doesn't matter if you explain now or when the day ends, as the mafia will only act upon it during the night. If you think that the mafia can convince the town not to push you, then your reasons will just have to be better. 
Also, for someone who wants to get pushed, and claims he won't be around much to "vote", why not use your own push on yourself?

Do you really think it's a good idea to reveal my whole ability right away?
I'm willing to wake up early to make sure my ability is worth it as i'll be staying up to watch GSL finals tonight anyway.

/sigh, need to read the rules more carefully.
Anyway, it does say that you cannot PoP yourself in MOST instances, so I guess that means you can't push or pull. My bad.

I'm not saying that you should claim. But think that there are many abilities in this game, so in order for to do as you ask, you should provide a good reason to do so, for it may also be an ability that totally screws town over if you're closer to the fire. That's all I'm saying.

Well I don't think scum would be so happy to put themselves near the fire. Plus he's being upfront about using a power when he gets to that position. I feel like scum would be sneakier about getting into that spot if they wanted it.

Well we dont know if they do for sure, but it would make sense, seeing as they only have one kill and we all have pretty decent (or at least interesting) powers, I would not be surprised if Cube were right actually.
