I actually partnered you with RoL on purpose because I remember you saying you were new to Mafia. Not sure if you got to witness his rage first hand but I'm sure you learned something.

Yeah, because if I would have had any notice at all, I would've time-traveled instantly to save everyone. :p

Hahahaha.
Don't get me wrong, you were right in many instances. But compare what you and LSB did to make the town believe you (whole bait & switch mix-up, bla bla bla) compared to what Ver did: "Kill this guy. <posts picture of professor badass>", and the town sheeped. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
That's what I meant, not the fact that everyone else was oblivious. I know you guys were not.

This game made me realize why I stopped modding games for a while; I know it can't be helped but having foreknowledge of everybody's roles can make reading thread discussion so FRUSTRATING

Quick word: My OPT key on my laptop is stuck 'on' so anything I type has been in symbols since yesterday. Currently typing from the Apple Store waiting for my appointment to get this (hopefully) fix'd.

*returns from rereading, after hitting the day2* ... ... ... What the flying motherfuck? How in the name of bloody ninja jesus did this big of a game end on day2, in any sane way?

There was nothing sane about this game ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif)
TL;DR version: our assumptions were wrong, we would've found out when the flip happened and gone from there, but Chaoser decided that it was a good idea to put everyone closer to death before dying, which gave the mafia a chance to use their ability's and finish town off.

I think Meapak and Chaoser got the brunt of my anger on AIM.

The setup was just swingy, maybe balanced but there were lot of roles that could have flipped the entire game upside down if given the chance. I mean Ace removed it but think how day 1 would have turned out if there were indeed Helicopter Toy present.

LOL@THIS GAME. good one ROFL
|
Its just a bit flabbergasting as I expected the game, at minimum, to end day/night 4 if the entire town just derp'd the herp. Are games often this...swingy? I mean, heaven knows how hard it is to balance a game where pretty much everyone has an ability (esp if you have to account for trolls/vast gulfs in experience)...bleh.
So when's the next game :D

Games are almost never this swingy, no. A whole bunch of circumstances just happened to line up right for us to execute the queue flip plan that we had thought of right away and kept in mind throughout. It's interesting to think what would have happened the next day if we hadn't used the flip, with kenpachi and chaoser both flipping green.
The next game is Insane Mafia 2, but sign-ups are full for that game. You can sign up as a replacement, so that if someone in the game goes inactive you can take over their role. It's a lot nicer than the host having to modkill them. Usually there are at least two games going at once, so with Death Factory ending I expect another game will open signups soon.
I want to defend chaoser's move a bit. Obviously it wasn't totally well thought out, but I don't think it was spiteful to town or anything. putting a bunch of players on the edge of the queue doesn't really help mafia, as mafia pulling a toy to death would just expose themselves. Meanwhile, if town decides that they think someone is mafia (like GMarshal, whom a few people suspected), they can execute him at will.

wow, freaking godfather mafia screwing stuff up lol. My ability is waaaay too strong btw.

So when's the next game :D I think we have had a total of 4 or 5 games out of 60 or 70 (counting mini games) end this quickly. This game is definitely an exception.
