Dude, I wasn't citing me playing like 4 games or whatever as definitive proof support Brand was good. I'm not trying to make a statistical argument. You just automatically assumed "oh thing guy sucks at stats or something". I've explained my reasoning why I like support Brand, and how my experience thus far backs that up. I'm willing to go out and test my hypothesis. What else am I supposed to do? I could do pretty in depth guide after more games or something. In the meantime. I encourage anyone who is decent at support to try it out for themselves and draw their own conclusions. I've been a support main pretty much since I started LoL and played really really dumb shit like Frozen Mallet Cho like 4+ years ago. Maybe me wrecking people with Brand is a product of me being a good support because I consistently win lane anyways. Over the course of LoL's history members of this community have made discoveries long before they made a splash in ranked/competitive, but there's also been a lot of fool's gold as well. Don't mistake skepticism for close-mindedness (though there will always be naysayers). As it stands a half dozen games is, in fact, too few games to really judge. There are too many factors involved to judge by the record alone, though if we had more data or even the VODs we might be able to analyze Support Brand's role in those victories better. I'm not being dismissive of the community at all, and I try to be civil. But people here are just shitty like 99% of the time. People trash on everyone and act like they're experts on everything. The last 10-20 pages about Viktor was like 60% insulting each other, 20% people being flat out wrong, and maybe 20% actual analysis. I didn't bother saying anything because I know I'm probably like a silver/gold level midlaner. Anyway, that's my rant for the day.

I love it when a plan comes together. The best reason to play lux is to turn character voices off and spam laugh and watch your opponent tilt your way to victory. You're simply not going to find a large enough sample for some things, and in those cases you have to use something else. I think it's fair for me to put my promos on the line, though tbh I really don't give a crap these days. I could tryhard Thresh and Ali to D1, but that wouldn't be fun. I think one of the big problems in LoL is people say "oh it's a cheese" and then write their loss off to it being an unfamiliar strategy. Since it's relatively uncommon, they just take their occasional loss or weird game and don't both doing deeper planning around it. I think the meta could expand and evolve a lot more if people bothered. But anyways, that's just an aside. Close to 3k games on just this patch in plat+. Both highest win rate and most popular go Sightstone > Sorc > Liandry > Rylais.

When we first started talking about MF and what we might want to do for her, we had all these ideas, and Scruffy stepped in and just said "Guys, seriously, just double her ult's damage and go from there." Now, Statikk didn't do exactly that, but it at least gives an idea of where our heads are at with her." Proof that at least one person at Riot knows wtf is wrong with MF right now.

If you snowball super hard and can end the game in 20-30 minutes, then it doesn't really matter what AP items you build. But late game Brand loses his ability to 100-0 anyone on the map, so the added tank busting and utility keeps him relevant.

First of all, if the lane breaks even he's on a support paycheck and needs cheap damage which Haunting Guise gives. If he does get ahead Liandry's is still extremely strong in the early game. It also procs on his passive if I'm not mistaken. Along with the HP, it makes it a great item for early game skirmishing. Then Rylai's for similar reasons. It's also the companion item to Liandry's. If I'm not mistaken, the slow is procced on his passive too. This makes his stun a lot more reliable and gives the team much better chase, kiting, and peel. Literally the only reason he gets Liandry's/Rylai's is because they both proc on his passive.

He has weaknesses (weak in heavy magic comps, midgame warding is tough due to squishiness) and he might not translate well in competitive but he's an absolute beast in solo q.

While it's true he does AP Carry levels of magic damage late game, it's also not really a very helpful way to evaluate him because Supports need to be impactful with next to no items/while buying sightstone & pinks etc. It's also not helpful to compare him to meta caster supports like Annie/Nami/Janna because he doesn't offer (much) engage/disengage. What he does offer is damage, ridiculous amounts of it at all points in the game and it's not (very) item dependent like Support Lux or Velkoz. What's most surprising about him is his strength in lane albiet with some tough matchups. He has weaknesses (weak in heavy magic comps, midgame warding is tough due to squishiness) and he might not translate well in competitive but he's an absolute beast in solo q. Brand offers huge peel and CC, his stun is a two second hard stun on a 3.6 second cd. Its really easy to use it to peel people, as you know exactly where they are going. they played Kennen support in LCK, there is no fucking way that is stronger than Brand.
