I think it only goes for TT/Dominion. Aram isn't really a competitive game mode. Why balance when you have no control over your team composition anyways?

EQ by far. If you're in range for E to hit the other guy, Q is in range to hit them too. There's no reason to eat the extra autoattack/skill that comes from winding up your Q while standing still.

EQ. You're given more range and better positioning (hopefully). And that's all you can ask for as a good ADC.

I don't wanna sound like a douche but I don't know if I'd really consider Dominion to be a competitive game mode. I know that people have developed strategies and stuff for it but when the top Dominion players are worse than Silver level SR players...

Dominion gets props from me for being a good idea by Riot to appeal to their most casual of players. My friends who are really bad at SR prefer Dominion because it's really easy and it lasts half as long as an SR game. Even with champion specific balance changes Dominion isn't going to become a competitive game ever. TT is a bit more likely and will benefit a lot more from balance changes imo.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if, eventually, Riot did some kind of map-specific balance changes to ARAM simply because of both it's popularity and the fact that it's actually harder than Dominion is.

they will probably use dominion stats for aram is what i meant.

i mean, they use dominion items and dominion ambient xp/mana buff/ambient gold.

I almost always approach the discussion from a competitive perspective. I haven't played against a lot of 2v1s but I can judge the impact they are having on the game.

I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

ARAM has way less potential as a competitive mode than Dominion if for no other reason than the fact it's random. Can you imagine an ARAM tournament finals decided because one team got a bunch of melee and the other got Ez, Nid, Lux etc.

Whether or not it is as competitive as SR is pretty irrelevant. pre-S1 LoL wasn't as competitive as S3 now but that doesn't mean that balance wasn't important. The point is that, whether you think Dominion is competitive or not (whatever that means, honestly if a game has 1 winner then it's competitive in the broad sense) the enjoyment of Dominion by its greatest fans has been hampered by a lack of balance. Riot being able to balance it is a good thing even if SR overshadows it for forever.

I do too, mostly because ARAM isn't meant to be serious. If you get a game on Udyr or Volibear you're supposed to just laugh about the ridiculousness of it and if you have a rank/tournament to care about you can't do that. It's not really built to be treated competitively so no one really does.

Good times. Akali deserved nerfs but those are pretty minor and just stop her constant trading damage from chucking a Q.


Oh lord am I happy that is getting nerfed. I had an Akali last patch start bluepot+pots rush sorc boots, against me. It was the most obnoxious thing because not only was she going to outlane me literally with nothing but boots and blue pot after 6 because of her ult charges, but before 6 she traded even me in because of that, pots, and the armor/mr from shroud. -_-

On a side note, anyone seen any good Karma theorycrafting/guides/vods? I really want to learn her. I wish theyd just buff her passive and the base mantra cd more, Im not sure how good these buffs are exactly to Karma's teamfight and laning.

It was dropping in popularity before it was nerfed. The nerf was just coup de gras.
