I was able to get in, took a little longer than usual but, I'm in.

I think, regardless of the stats, BotRK is now stupid easy to build. Nothing costs more than 650 in it. I think the build path should be changed to Cutlass + Recurve and adjust max price accordingly.

Just built it as Jax against Elise (pretty bad, he waited level 4 to start Qing me, and even then let me get to 6 pretty much unscathed right before him andd all-in him to get 20cs advantage... ), I felt really weak with only a Negatron and Cutlass. I know the item's been nerfed to reduce its cost, but still, I actually didn't even notice it when I used the active on her, except for a slight slow, and felt like I'd manage to lose auto trades with her spider form despite the lifesteal and Jax's huge base damage.
(Can't really tell about the BotRK, she ran everytime she didn't have ignite and I started having 250+ms lag spikes, then they surrendered at 20 because 4v5. The Cutlass really felt a huge difference from pre-patch though.)
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

E AoE proc spread the dot. I've always seen Vi's rush that along with either lock/brut/mogs.

It was XJ9's standard build on Vi, so I guess a lot of people copied him. It's probably better on Hecarim, but Vi also has pretty good AoE application of the DoT with her E.

I don't like ask mr robot... Everything it does is based on 1v1 math and time-to-kill which I find of questionable use for an ADC in a team fight where targets are in and out all the time and the space you get to DPS is highly variable. Even the DPS feature still maths it out based on a 1v1 and incorporates overkill in odd ways which means that by gaining or losing a level or the target gaining or losing 10 armor/mr you can get differences in DPS of up to 20% (though it's usually 10%). This makes comparing builds very annoying since a 10% difference could just be a fluke of the simulation unless you play around with the sliders a bunch.

As a result I prefer just to math out the best pure DPS path for myself and modify it in-game based on my defensive needs and where the game is.

And when you say it like that in general, wouldn't you have a problem with a skin where you can't see the skillshots?

You act like it's nothing when the visibility of skills can obviously have a big influence on the power level / balance of a champ.

BTW, I'm actually going to point out a counterargument to the whole "People complain about OP champions that look weak on release" and then cite Rengar, Riven, Vi as examples. Those champions were weak on release because of their animations or gameplay that did make them legitimately weak. Their kit on paper was overall strong. Notice that on release, all of those champions had something in common: their kit would make them move and combo extremely clunky due to their "self stun". Renekton actually suffers this as well in his w but he's just so well rounded in his overall kit that it doesn't make as much of a difference.

On the other hand, champions like Orianna was only decried as weak because of lowbie players who absolutely had no idea how MOBA's worked. Champions like Orianna, Jayce, Irelia and Zed were considered quite powerful by higher level players at initial release.

agreed. things like the fireworks corki skin or underworld tf where the skill shots don't travel the same are really offsetting to me. things like sivir boomerang in one of her skins also makes it harder than usual to see. i also hear a lot of complaints about the lux skin too.

jayce is another example you should add since he was played A LOT after animation fixes and not as much before

Damn, what's the point of playing ranked if I only get 7 points per win? It's going to take forever to rank up at this rate. I've won 5 games in a row and went from 18 points to 56. I just wanna get into gold T_T

I'm sure you could give just as many examples of champions who were considered weak on release who ended up just being weak too. Or who got so many buffs that eventually they got pretty good.

Also Quinn's kit doesn't look good on paper. I dunno if your post was in reference to Quinn at all and I would agree that it's still too early to tell if she's good or bad but several people, myself included, said that her kit seems bad for an AD carry and thus far it seems to be true. Maybe she's good in a solo lane or maybe people just don't know how to play her yet but her kit and what I've seen of her leads me to believe she's not that great.

Also Riven and Rengar at least got more than just animation changes they got straight buffs too lol.

Maybe its a newb trap, but it seems pretty good on paper. I'm not going to complain about free attack speed on an item i already built regularly on trist.
