I remember someone was asking why melee carries sucked and we all answered that exhaust shut them down and their offensive modifiers weren't strong enough (Sion's is). Lifesteal was too easy to get and the fear was that damage didn't stick. (I don't really agree but it is much cheaper than health regen). Riot's also really trying to ensure that people stick to an AP mid, AD carry, support meta with all these new items. Before the only item that could be considered a pure support items was shurelias because it didn't give enough combat stats so bruisers buying it would miss out on pure damage and tankiness. The strengthening of golems means junglers might take it more. Moving wraiths away from mid is a huge deal for those high level junglers. I'm a bit worried about this though: Armor and Magic Resistance is generally around 10 to 20% more expensive than before I mean... as a bruiser I barely survive 2 seconds in 5v5 teamfights as it is. Also hurricane still looks broken. | ||

Also Avarice blade for Jewplank builds. Huehue. And Zeke... why would you buy it? CDR, HP, a little bit of AD and a lifesteal aura? Not really interesting for a support anymore. :/ Oh, yeah... DFG+Swain. 'sup, 40 (if additive) or 44 (if multiplicative) % damage more? WHO SAID I CAN'T BURST YOU WITH DOTS. | ||

Its ok because as a bruiser you're going to be doing tons more damage. It might all end up being balanced because everything is OP. No one will know for the first 3 months. | ||

Tower shots increase in power as you tank more though so this would possibly break the chain? Tank 2-3, active > 2-3 and you've tanked like 1/2 the damage normally. | ||

Clarity has been modified to restore mana based on mana pool rather than a flat value Finally. Not like I've been saying this should be changed for like 2 years now. | ||

Wraith Collar seems... underwhelming, unless the active also seeks in the fog of war "Ambushing? No, ambushed!" kinda way. Liandry's Lament + DFG (+ tear once 6 so he can fuel it through ult) seems pretty good on Swain. Probably not viable due to accrued damage and the build-up for mana that'd be too long. Swain probably nerfed through the resistances nerf anyway (and champs like Udyr too... ?). | ||
