The dodge on E is just the nail in the coffin | ||

basicly jax can never use his dodge in the wrong moment or fiora can use her superiour mobility and burst to do quick and strong trades. I think it is a skill matchup in the end and it can snowball either way. hell we've seen a very good jax getting outtraded by a shen in the s2 championships after both accumulated tons of items. I think people overestimate jax a bit. he does some things very well but others do as well. | ||

what makes jax so scary is the fact that his kit can snowball him very fast, because you either have to survive the damage he deals during dodge and stun or you have to be able to avoid it. fiora prolly deals more dps but her parry is not exactly counterstrike. parry will block an empowered strike mb? counterstrike helps against ganks and for ganks, it allows for extreme aggression in the weirdest moments where other champions would have to run. it is his trade-defining skill imo. the rest are good steroids but nothing that is uncomparable. | ||

Also it's worth noting that once anyone buys a chain vest and ninja tabi vs fiora she's kind of useless, considering the cost of the items she'd need to overcome that amount of damage reduction. | ||

u mad edit: in fact i posted in the fiora thread ages ago about having played fiora in every lane hah riposte AD bonus is less than the ad bonus from jax R at level 6 jax's E almost straight up counters fioras E jax sustained damage is higher from W spam and R and his passive jax burst damage is similar unless you count fiora ult where fiora wins out there of course Jax also has both magic and physical meaning fiora cant stack resists ALL Fiora has going for her is level 1-6 and riposte has a lot of potential but thats also the time when junglers are most op. perhaps fiora can escape by skillfully double dashing but the problem is she'll take so much damage even in the stun duration. the only counterplay I can see is forcing jax to be the agressor and trying to riposte the auto+w jax harass but even then theres room for jax to outplay fiora there and its harder for fiora to outplay since you just hit jax E when fiora hits her E | ||
