Hell yeah, free Mundo. I wanted to try him so that I know if it's a buy or not.

Probably not. I thought the same thing would happen with Swain's free week, but people maxed W (and never hit with it), rushed Tears+WOTA, left their ult on for ages, etc. And thus the secret was safe. Expect missed lasers, spammed Ws, Power Core upgrades, etc.
AP Kogmaw is so fun. It's all the range (and surprisingly, almost the burst) of Xerath with the frantic Lay Wastes of Karthus. There's not a lot more satisfying than putting the AD carry to half health without any chance of retaliation.

Dr. Statements sounds like a bad ass, bet he's got sick rhymes

Gunblade+Revolver+WOTA+Spirit Visage Swain/Vlad too stronk. Always heal, never die.
In seriousness, the longer the fight goes on, the more effective health healing gives. But to survive that long, you do need a decent Hitpoint base (or Hourglass) to survive the initial engage/AoE and exploit your prolonged healing strength. It doesn't matter if you have 135% healing on your Ultimate if you only get off two rounds off.

I've had three Ashe's disconnect after given first blood to the enemy team, two Shens that refused to use their ults to save me, and my teams have never called MIA despite my reminding them over and over to do so.
I'm losing all motivation to play this game, and I only have six levels left to go.
MIA calls are super overrated. Half the time the other guy just backed for unknown reasons, half the time you call MIA and they die neways.
Minimap awareness FTW.

typing mia seems dumb to me, i ping my lane twice to draw attention to the fact that my laner isn't there, it's much quicker and gives an audio cue to snap people out of their tunnel vision so it seems superior in every way.

Oh sick, been wanting to try Viktor after watching Soniv :D, but I feel your pain.
whats funny is I would think Vik would do pretty well vs. Kog in lane if a lot of people try ap for the first time. ap kog has good harass at earily levels, but his kill potential drops off (1v1) after first back due to item path. if you can get a good lead before RoA is done you can quite well for yourself I'd bet.
then again you might see a lot of 2x dorans kog because after all it is free week, and people will just do their normal builds a lot without thinking about it. I remember when I was leveling I build a deathcap on Ryze once and proclaimed to my friend I thought he was a terrible champion.......

MIA calls have more meaning on an arranged team, as it's easy to differentiate someone going back from someone leaving the lane for a different reason.

I had a general question:
Does counter picking have a purpose at lower elo's (~1250), also where you do you find which champs counter which champs/ how can you tell?

I remember a ryze back in 1.2k elo when he sold off his frozen heart and banshees late game and bought a deatch cap and rylai's instead.I almost had a stroke. The game was really close as well. Not so much after he pulled that off.

The people only get worse at level thirty.

Has anyone played King of Scar? It's basically just 1v1, fight until you drop Arena in the center of Dominion. It's like the antithesis of ARAB, with constant 1v1 fights instead of constant teamfights. Some champions are blantantly overpowered, but if the teams are relatively balanced its a lot of fun.
