Should I do this in normals blind or normals draft?
I started this a long time ago. Every time there's free week champions I haven't played, I try them out. I got 100% win rates on some champs I don't even own. It also gives you a better feel for the champs cds, passives, and play styles, so you don't run into suprises when the champ shows up on the other side of the battle. Personally I play blind pick for faster queues, and you don't have to wait for picks and bans, so you get into game faster, but draft normals are fun too.

I attribute a large portion of my success to you, good sir.

the jungler has to basically put their game on hold and is giving up a huge part of the jungle experience and gold to give them blue, if mid lane can't be bothered or is losing too badly to push their lane when it's time to get blue i'm coming to "help" them push. you don't have time in the jungle to wait around all day and i'd much rather the creeps go to me than the tower.
surprisingly, this doesn't always go over very well.

Do you guys all hang around in liquidparty? i need people to play with soloQ can be stressful sometimes XD losing is fine, its just all dat rage :<
also having people to give advice would be cool :3 ive been sitting around 1500 since my first 20~ games..went on an 8 win streak the other day to get to 1611 top, then lost 9 in a row and back down to 1490 haha.
|
I would honestly rather you come help push the lane than take my blue. I know that's generally not the mind set in solo q though.

Correct. Although there is ofcourse the eternal shame of dying to mobs.

Should I do this in normals blind or normals draft? I've been doing this ever since I started playing LOL this past September. I think it helps you learn everything really well. Theres some small things that you just don't learn without playing the champ. The most annoying thing is that theres some champs that are very rarely free Even though I started at the end of august/beginning of september, theres still about 8 champions I haven't played.
As for blind vs draft. I personally like blind because the games feel more laid back. The only problem with blind is people's rediculous comps. It's also a lot of people doing this same thing (trying out things). Blind is also slightly faster queue, especially when playing with friends.
If you don't care about winning and losing, blind is fine. If you want teammates that give more effort into winning, I'd do draft.

What ap carry do you play that can't push out a wave in two seconds flat? If you're losing lane that hard then the blue will help you come back. Don't make junglers wait. Check the timer for blue buff if you need to so the lane isn't pushing to tower.

Yeah, I'd rather ping the blue 15times while doing it and tell them to come, and if they don't come it's their fault, than trying to shove the lane and get whined at.

Even after succesfull ganks where a solo laner end up on ~100 hp & mana and you stay to shove the lane to opposing tower you get a shitton of rage.

Running around like a 6 y/o boy at the beach, dying 6 times to ganks in 15 minutes. How dare I save his tower.
At least he accidentally wrote it on allchat and this way 9 people were laughing at him.

My favorite is when they yell at you that they need someone to cover their lane, then when you finally get your ass up from golems all the way to top, they stay in lane with 200hp csing like you're a bodyguard or something.

If you die to creeps you lose:- Presence. The enemy team now knows they're safe for at least a minute as you respawn, run back to the jungle, finish whatever camp killed you etc. They can use this time to punish your team.
- Time. Time is the most valuable resource for a jungler. When you die to a creep camp you lose all the time you spent killing the camp plus the time spent dead plus the time spent running back into the jungle. That's a lot of time which could have been spent farming more or ganking.
- Control. The enemy jungler can capitalize on your death in a number of ways, from stealing camps to being extra aggressive with their ganks since they don't have to worry about being counter-jungled.
- Buffs. If you had blue or red, it's gone now.
- Dignity. Seriously you died to a creep camp WTF.
It may not seem like a big deal since no one pocketed 300 gold off of you, but in the end you still cost yourself and your team significantly.

For the blue that comes at ~7:15 it's not uncommon for mid to have been forced to expend significant mana to stay on even ground with their opponent. In that case quickly pushing the lane can require expending all remaining mana, meaning they'll have nothing left for blue. It's awkward but it happens.
Later in the game you don't have that excuse.

My god, leveling to thirty is a pain.
I've had three Ashe's disconnect after given first blood to the enemy team, two Shens that refused to use their ults to save me, and my teams have never called MIA despite my reminding them over and over to do so.
I'm losing all motivation to play this game, and I only have six levels left to go.
