* Q is a Decent harass that gives u 40% of damage dealt in shield. * W makes him almost ungankable, but the range feels really short so its hard to be aggressive with it. * Z does decent damage in a line. Its kinda hard to place correctly tho * R is a controlable AOE+DOT that also silences. The number maybe are a bit low, but do not forget his augments. The Q augment is kinda useless, 220 hp and ms buff is great but fade off rather quickly going to the endgame. If you need survavibility, take the W augment ( 10%CDR and 30% range increase on W). You lack damage, take his Z augment, you'll end up with an item that costed 1200 gold and gives you 100AP + 30% increase damage on Z. now build a Rabadon and you Z does more damage than Lux ult. Now if we look in practice, his laning phase is quite weak. he has a poke, but no good burst trade possibility. If brand/annie/sion decide to comboing you, you cant really trade back because the real power of your ult comes from his Dot. Also he has no farm ability like karth/morg. I think they should increase a bit his range to maybe 550 or 575 so he can farm safely and he'd be fine. Oh yeah, increase his ult base damage ratio too. 0.55 is just too low. Tibbers has 0.7....

I never had a great opportunity to gank so when I did it was largely to try and disrupt him a little bit. It wasn't enough. How does one go about shutting down Nasus' farm, if unable kill him? Realize you can't shut him down if he is any decent and focus your energy on gankable lanes. It took me lots of games trying to shut someone down who just isn't stoppable from the jungle if he is any decent (Nidalee comes to mind, Renekton is barely gankable too.) before I realized I'm better of not wasting my time there and actually accomplish anything. A farmed Nasus is scary, but if you have a huge impact on bot and mid lane and maybe even screw their jungler while doing this, he won't stop your team all by himself. If people stopped prematurely hating on champions who have been out less than a week ago, maybe they'd be open minded enough to get to know their actual strengths and weaknesses. I have shat on every Viktor I have faced so far as Brand, but that does not necessarily make him a bad champion but rather shows that I am a lot more experienced on Brand than Viktor could be at this point. Take your time before you judge a champ. And while we're at it, maybe realize it's a relatively rare occasion one person single handedly loses a game for a whole team without them being able to do anything about it.

Viktor is bad because he deals nothing. His W should be good but too situationnal to really makes him a good hero. You don't really need a ap that is impossible to kill. On the other side, Volibear is a good jungler (not OP) but Fizz is OMFG so fucking good. I've seen a lot of good Fizz. His jump is so fucking op, you just can't touch him AND he deals a shit ton of damage, plus he have a good HP pool without any stuff. Wait for Fizz domination.

Takes champs usually 1 month to be figured out, sometimes even longer. Took cass forever (aka many months) to really be discovered, mainly because she has a higher skillcaps than a lot of champs (can't just point and click and receive kill)

Me personally I really like the DFG start since it basically lets you 100-0 burst people in lane or on a gank. His ultimate's damage is really the most broken thing about him in my eyes and DFG also helps it be up for as many engagements as possible. After that I usually build deathcap because I like glass cannoning. It's all pretty situational though, just build whatever you want, xerath is pretty OP and so will most likely do well no matter what you do.

I think he'll be great once his Q is useful.

Deathcap is just too good on him. He is a long range nuker, the only thing you need to have on him is damage. And if possible utility, which is why DC/Rylai is very powerful on him. The thing that I find weird on him are summoner spells. When I combo, I'm most of the times way too far for an ignite, so I really consider not taking it anymore...

When his ult is down, he's really underwhelming.

And when they aren't, they're usually broken (Sion, Cassio and Swain come to mind...).

I'm gonna have to disagree. Most AP mids are still formidable without their ult. I agree with Rhav that unless Xerath's ult is up, I'm really not afraid of him.

Late game you just use it as soon as your team is set up to start poking and you can hit more than 1. You end up chunking them so your team has free reign to either poke them further or force them to blow all their mana on heals until its up again and you can do a full engage. I guess what im trying to say is that it its more than he is reliant on having his ult- he is reliant on USING his ult cuz holding onto it is really crippling IMO.

I've heard quite a few people say it now and it doesn't make any sense. chunk 1 [chuhngk] Show IPA noun 1.a thick mass or lump of anything: a chunk of bread; a chunk of firewood. 2.Informal . a thick-set and strong person. 3.a strong and stoutly built horse or other animal. 4.a substantial amount of something: Rent is a real chunk out of my pay. You take a big chunk of their hp, makes perfect sense.

I came to the realization last night that I have a lot less fun now than I did 2 months ago with this game, in every single role too, except maybe ranged carry, but that's just because I discovered trist.
