Pretty huge in certain matchups. Mere mortals like myself though can leash anything they want whenever they want and still win. Or lose, as the case may be.

I am a fairly new LoL player and have a question: I like to play vlad when I play carry and I always let the other players in my team get the golem buff if we take it. Is it okay to get the golem buff yourself even if you only get the cdr?

If you're going to consider something like that, then you should also note that getting help to do golem quickly and having to kill it slowly by yourself can mean the difference between having your wraiths stolen, and being able to get there in time to catch the guy trying to steal it. If you're the only caster and you're carrying hard, take it. Otherwise, guys like Karthus, Anivia, Annie, Ryze, etc can make much better use of it if they're not fuckin terrible.

EDIT: anyway, that's why I said usually. If Ezreal is your AD carry or something, you can probably afford to let him have it.

What's wrong with volleying once? And why is mid leashing wrong? I was under the impression that it takes longer to get to top lane from Blue than to mid lane if you're bottom, and the new buff to dual lane exp means it's better to have both bot lanes there, no? All minor things, but they all can potentially "matter" in winning/losing a lane. Seems like mid leashing is still the best to me...

It does leave the golem in the open instead of in the brush also ... I like that as far as killing it goes (no chance of weird targeting mishaps because of brush) but it's also more dangerous if the enemy is around.

Pretty huge in certain matchups. For ashe, you can block routes to creep lane by just getting there faster and keep them out of range until their second creep wave comes. How exactly do you get lane control though. Like you get to lane before a creep dies anyways. If you just stay out of Ashe's range until 1 of your creeps is about to die you can't really get hurt... Also, if the other team is top then their solotop won't be able to leash anyways. Though I feel like both lane should help out, it's a huge speed boost for the jungler and can save them from having to use a potion.

Not to mention, timing-wise it gives you some more flexible options in the first few minutes of the game (e.g. if your top, mid, and roaming support help out so you finish blue in under 5 seconds while their jungler is doing it by themselves, you might even have enough time to squeeze in a post-blue wraith jack, depending on which junglers are involved).

There's like a 10 year cooldown and you're supposed to do the crit - volley right at the start.
