KEEP NEGATIVE OPINIONS OUT OF THIS, THIS IS A THREAD ABOUT THE TALENT IN DIVERSITY, NOT ABOUT WHY THIS PERSON IS BAD OR NOT, PLEASE RESPECT OUR DIFFERENCES IN TASTE AND AS ALWAYS CONTRIBUTE
ok guys i love music. the word love is probably not even good enough to describe my passion for it. i know there are many taste out there, but i was wondering, if you could only choose 1 artist/band in the world you could listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be? and list at your top 3 favorite songs or youtube videos from that artist as a sample to their genius.
i introduce to you none other than, the weeknd.
a fairly young artist based out in Toronto at the age of 21 years and was founded by none other than drake himself. but the thing is, drake didn't partner with him for the fact he saw talent, drake put him under his wing so drake himself can draw inspiration and learn from him which is what amazes me with this guy's talent. still unsigned and underground with only 2 mixtapes. you will rarely ever find an artist who instead of tries to form their music around the current styles that exist, push their own new genre. the music is generally a new kind. an alternative rock induced rnb with an underlying theme of sexuality. my type of music is based by how "real" it is or how i can relate to the artist's dilemma within the music, and i have to admit, this person personifies that perfectly.
so here are 3 of my favorite songs by him and i have to admit one of them was playing when i got laid so cheers to the weeknd.
High For This (As seen on entourage season 8 promo)
The Zone
Wicked Games
all my favorite artist's till this day, most of their music generally had to "sink-in" before i fell in love with it, but the moment i heard the weeknd, it was love at first sight. after hearing it, i could literally not listen to anything else that i considered "good" in the past. so i'd like to allow anyone else to share these amazing artists that, may or may not be heard by the general public so we can see the diversity in this thing we call music and the talent behind it. remember 1 artist/band only and probably the one you would consider the best out of everyone you'd listen to / the rest of your life
lmfao i agree. i've never ever wanted to spend money on a CD no matter who's it was cause i could always download it, but for the weeknd i'd pay him literally for his new mixtape to come out earlier, echoes of silence. OVOXO
Ludovico Einaudi for me easily. I never have been that into classical music or piano in general. But his expression and immense amounts of passion that he conveys though his music just baffles me.

good job my friend i've never listened to classical either and the closest i've come to piano was japanese, more so along the lines of final fantasy but this i can definitely appreciate. i got goosebumps from it within the first minute. love it at 2:06
if you haven't heard japanese piano from final fantasy orchestrated you definitely want to check it out because i'd say it comes really close to this and is the thing that gives me goosbumps the most in piano.
(this is a remake of it by fans, sounds exactly the same) and i'll admit i cried to this
please guys put your favorite song or 2-3 songs with youtube links so we can easily figure out why you like the artist and the reason why they're good. its hard for me to look up people and decide if i like them or not by clicking on a random song that may or may not be a good representation of their best.
nice! i've actually heard about IU i think it was on one of the GSL pre opening music and saw her videos. she's a good alternative to me listening to BoA most of my teen years lol
