good job my friend i've never listened to classical either and the closest i've come to piano was japanese, more so along the lines of final fantasy but this i can definitely appreciate. i got goosebumps from it within the first minute. love it at 2:06 if you haven't heard japanese piano from final fantasy orchestrated you definitely want to check it out because i'd say it comes really close to this and is the thing that gives me goosbumps the most in piano. (this is a remake of it by fans, sounds exactly the same) and i'll admit i cried to this ![]() please guys put your favorite song or 2-3 songs with youtube links so we can easily figure out why you like the artist and the reason why they're good. its hard for me to look up people and decide if i like them or not by clicking on a random song that may or may not be a good representation of their best. ![]()

the musician who can a million different things i can't put 1 specific musican as the best i've ever heard but girl talk is the most unique and fun to listen to. he's a mashup artist. his newest album is an 80 minute track filled with nothing but samples. it's fan-fucking-tastic. he makes miley cyrus and lady gaga sound good when mashed with hip hop beats or the other way around. it's craaazy get to like 2:40 when he mixes in beyonce with ante up from hardcore hip hop group m.o.p and makes it sound like the best thing i've ever heard

In a world where facts are irrelevant, Either all opinions are valuable or none are. QFT Stop telling him this is an opinion thread if you don't even respect his opinion, OP. Also, take it to PMs if you're not contributing to the thread. OP, you need to manner up. Drake is awful, so what. trolls keep feeding trolls love it. you come at me with BM and you expect me to to be GM? lol what fucking world do you live in? let me make it clear for you, this thread is not about who you hate or who you don't think is talented, cause i can go into any music thread and read that bull shit. this is a thread about who you think is good and why. leave your negative opinions out of it. i guess it's asking too much of people to just contribute, respect our differences in taste and leave out the negativity. honestly, youve been more BM than anyone else in the thread. you told some to gtfo because he didnt agree with you, and youve been a dick to several other people in the thread. there are trolls in every thread, and if youre so adamant about every single one that pops up, and you get pissed off so easily, then youre better off not even making a thread until you can handle it in a mature manner. "i guess it's asking too much of people to just contribute, respect our differences in taste and leave out the negativity" you say to the posters who dont like what you like? makes a whole lotta sense. and for the record, the musician i love listening to is Buckethead. + Show Spoiler + wrong yet again. i have never in this thread out rightly attacked someone based on their differences and preference in taste of music. i love how you can twist the scenario around. in fact i have only openly respected everyone's contribution in music whether or not i may be a fan. and i also love how you can somehow paint someone as guilty of BM because they defended their own opinion or their own taste in music for that matter. you need to look at what's truly "mature" and grow up. cause bashing someone for a certain type of music "makes a whole lotta sense" you truly are the authority on what's good and what's not.

John Darnielle is one of the best flat-out songwriters I have ever heard. each song is a wonderful story in itself. Here is not the best example, but a song that I will always listen to: i was going to post these too ![]() Yeah, Going to Georgia has been said to be one of the greatest songs ever written by All music Guide. I play that song at my own shows, when I used to play shows a lot. It is so amazing.

Tool. + Show Spoiler + well that wasn't the ONLY all encompassing reason to why he's good but one of the testimony more or less. there's a million ways to rationalize why someone's good or successful and that was the first one that came to mind. now obviously i have to put a idiot warning on that since by no means does it 100% justifies his success nor to the sole reason why he's good just to clear that up. and i don't mean that no one else is good, if they're not making money. hope that helps. i don't want to be getting responses like "well soulja boy makes millions, he's good by your logic" responses lolol. keep up the good work guys, i'm giving everyone's music a listen/try without pre-judgements. i definitly want to expand the horizon of my taste from my little old preferences of japanese/rnb/hip hop genre/rock

For all the Jazz lovers out there, may I present, Jamie Cullum. + Show Spoiler + First, a cover of a classic: Next, an original, that for the most part sticks to his Jazz roots And finally, Jazz mixed with a bit of dance-type music. It really shows how he's able to move seamlessly through different genres without making it seem weird. He's also done covers of such varied artists as Rihanna, The White Stripes, and Jimi Hendrix successfully, giving each song his own style.

It's my absolute favorite for about last two years and i can't see how it can change in near future. Every piece of music he works on is masterpiece. And he is still rather young (about 40) and don't have bad behaviors. I can see he will dominate for maybe 10-20 years more on the scene. He is the last bonjwa in music (Starcraft analogy ![]()

There's a gazillion of these for bands.
